March 27: Stress And Anxiety

Reminder to self:  Stress and anxiety are products of the mind.  Everything is an illusion we create and project from the chosen and decided upon meanings and definitions we want for this construct at a personal level.  Everything appears in accordance with what we choose to focus on., AND HOW WE CHOOSE TO THINK ABOUT IT.

What are you thinking about and focusing on that is causing your stress and anxiety?  Or is what you are focusing upon most resulting in peace, inner strength, comfort, and a life of prosperity?  Are your basic needs in life met?  Is the thing causing you stress and anxiety really that big of a thing?  The meanings and definitions we attach to EVERYTHING are 100% in OUR control.  Can we look at what is stressing us out differently?  Can we take a break and do something RIGHT  NOW to take our mind off of that thing producing anxiety?  Can we decide upon an alternate perspective and immediately improve the personal reality we are currently projecting?  Can we decide upon alternate, more empowering definitions and meanings for what we are experiencing?  What can we do RIGHT NOW that will make us feel better?  A brisk walk, getting out into nature, or anything physical we can do that gets us out of our head and re-aligns our focus elsewhere can do wonders.

If it is a big deal, deal with it.  Seek out and implement solutions and BE DONE WITH IT.  Life is too short.  No need to waste time and energy feeling poorly.  Do what you need to do to fix or repair that thing, navigate through it and get beyond it.  If it really isn’t as big a deal as you thought it was, it’s time to focus on something more productive.

Stress is literally linked to physical and mental illness.  Stress is simply the accumulation of feelings from unresolved issues and frustration from work still left undone.  Stress is a product of resistance.  It can come from MANY sources, but mostly comes from the meanings and definitions we attach to EVERYTHING we observe and judge that is going on around us, according to our current belief system.  Beliefs are simply thoughts we think over and over.

Luckily, BELIEFS CAN BE UPGRADED, and there are tools to not only MANAGE useless, harmful stress, but ERADICATE IT FROM OUR LIVES ENTIRELY.

Disease and illnesses are a natural byproduct of stress!  They are warning signs, red flags, information, and feedback, telling us that something within our current lifestyle NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED.  When we ignore this feedback, WE DO IT TO OUR OWN DETRIMENT, and it is a matter of time before we experience unnecessary disease and illness.

Dr. Caroline Leaf, in her 2021 interview with Lewis Howes, explains that “illnesses” like severe depression, anxiety, bipolar/manic depression, and all types of other diagnosed “diseases” are NOT DISEASES OR ILLNESSES AT ALL, but rather SYMPTOMS of an unchecked, unaltered life with no upgrades having been put into place to strategically and DAILY alleviate the residual effects of built up emotions.

Reminder to self:

Choose today and every day to create a day, a week, a month and a lifetime that is as stress-free as you can possibly make it for yourself and those around you.  Create routines and patterns in your day that alleviate all unnecessary and useless stress.  It will make your life more manageable, beautiful, and enjoyable.  Others around you will benefit from the choices you make, and you will be far more capable of contributing to and adding value to others.

Focus on what you want.  Focus on what you enjoy and what makes you happy.  Expect more of THAT in your life and let the stress blow away in the wind.

WE ARE THE CREATORS OF OUR INNER ENVIRONMENTS, WHICH WE THEN PROJECT OUTWARD INTO REALITY.

Start each day by coming up with a mental list of everything you are grateful for in your life and why you are grateful for it, and sit back and watch as miracles unfold in your life when you do it consistently.  WE GET MORE OF WHAT WE FOCUS ON.  There will be miracles that are constantly happening, every moment of every day, and because of the habitual practice of gratitude, you will have begun to train your mind to notice and recognize them.

Each day, when we awake, there are residual amounts of left-over stress from the day, the month, or the years past.  When we sleep, we heal.  Our brains literally go through a procedural chemical wash as we rest.  Sleep is a tool.

There is another tool used by the wise which has been proven to heal us from the residual effects of stress.  It is much more effective than sleep.  For years I avoided it, but now that I have begun this age-old practice, I wish I would have started much sooner.

I first learned of this particular method of meditation on a YouTube show called, HEALTH THEORY, in an interview with Emily Fletcher.  I immediately bought her book, STRESS LESS, ACCOMPLISH MORE.  I highly recommend buying and using this book.   The audio version is my personal preference.  It is my hope that one day the effects of the residual stress we all suffer from will dissipate and disappear from our lives forever.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will choose to do things that will alleviate the stressful situations and circumstances in my life.  Today I will choose to think, say, and do everything stress-free.  I will remember the value in FEELING GOOD, ALL OF THE TIME.

Why it is SO important to feel good, ALL the time:

Why it is SO important to FEEL GOOD, ALL OF THE TIME

March 26: EMOTIONS EMIT, and WE are the creators of ALL WE EMIT!

Emotions.  Most of us have them.  Many of us are slaves to them, rather than MASTERS of them.

Emotions are the residual effects of feeling a certain way for an extended period of time, which is a result of our HABITUAL THINKING PATTERNS we have CHOSEN or have been ADDICTED to, for an extended period of time.

Our EMOTIONAL BASELINE is actually a comfortable ADDICTION to the chemicals and hormones that are consistently produced by our CONSISTENT THOUGHT PATTERNS that make us feel most comfortable and enjoy the illusion of what WE think is safe.  This chemical cocktail THAT WE DESIGN, and constantly determine by what we consistently choose to focus on and think about, CAN ONLY RESULT IN THE OUTCOMES THAT CURRENTLY IS OUR PERSONAL REALITY.

EVERYTHING going on in our lives and happening “to” us is a direct result of OUR own decided thoughts, what WE choose to consistently focus and RE-focus on, and WHAT WE ALLOW OUR MINDS TO CONSUME and ruminate upon.

Our thinking is 100% OUR responsibility.  WE are the installers of the filters through which we view EVERYTHING.  Sometimes, we forget that, and allow OTHERS to install filters that are so blurry and distorted that we can’t see anything the way we want to.  At ANY moment, we can choose to BEGIN AGAIN, re-install ANY filter we choose, see things in a different way, and begin feeling differently, IMMEDIATELY.

WE are the creators of our own personal realities.

Some of us have been taught that it is a sign of weakness to express ourselves, cry in front of others, or share anything about ourselves that may expose weaknesses or make us look imperfect.  Others have been empowered by being taught to fully accept, appreciate and allow everything about the self and others-ESPECIALLY emotions.

I always thought that to share anything “wrong” with me would make me look bad, weak and stupid.  I thought people would judge me and in reality, some do, but I realized it was ME, judging MYSELF, that was most destructive and devastating.

It wasn’t until I was at my lowest point in life, enduring truly difficult and challenging problems, and was asked to be a part of a group, that I realized the importance of sharing.  For the first few sessions, I said, “PASS.”  I didn’t what to share.  Then as I listened to others doing so, I began to realize I wasn’t the only one feeling stupid and weak, or going through difficulties and enduring, challenging times.  These people bore their souls and I listened in awe.  How could they be so open?  For the first time in my life, I shared personal things in a vulnerable way.  It was difficult.  I was scared.  When I finished, I felt as if a huge burden was lifted off my shoulders.  I stopped carrying the weight of the judgements of myself and the world around me and I began to heal.  It wasn’t at all what I expected.

I’ve learned that if we do not make the time to properly process our emotions, the pain and suffering we have not yet healed from will grow within us until we have to.

The longer we wait to begin our own, personal, unique healing process, the more our mental, emotional, physical, spiritual energy and personal health suffers.  These things are HABITS.

“The emotion that is not allowed to express itself in the form of tears will cause other organs within the body to weep.”

My new belief is that it’s okay to share.  It is helpful and important to do so.  It creates a bond with those we share with.  It creates a support group and connects us with other humans on a real and deep level.  It helps us to feel okay and we begin to realize that we are not alone in our pain, anguish, and suffering.  We are all a part of a tribe.  It’s called the human race.  We are all connected in some way.  We are all part of ONE COLLECTIVE WHOLE.

All of us have similarities and things in common.  Not one of us is so special or broken as to not be able to connect with someone, on some level.  The more we help ourselves to heal the more we can help others to do the same.  Making our own lives more beautiful, fulfilling, and full of love, will improve the lives of those around us.

WHEN ONE OF US HEALS

WE ALL HEAL

WHEN ONE OF US HEALS IT TIPS THE BALANCE OF THE SCALE OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE

Others gain or lose by having us in their lives.  We get to decide how others are affected by us.  Will others lose or gain something today by having you in their lives?  If we don’t like the answer to this question, we can start RIGHT NOW to do the things that will change the answer.

Today I will pay special attention to how I feel.  Which emotion best describes my state of mind right now?  What can I focus on and DO that will alter my mood and make it better, so that others may gain and benefit by having me in their lives?

March 25: Life Happens FOR Us

When we are going through difficult times, we sometimes ask, “Why me?  Why do these things always happen to me?”   We wonder why life has to be so difficult and challenging.  When we ask dis-empowering questions, we get dis-empowering answers.

The truth is this:  Life isn’t happening to us.  Life is happening for us.  Once we adjust our realization, shift our perspective, start to believe this and ask questions like, “What is this challenging moment meant to teach me or do for me,” magic happens.  Miracles begin to take place in our lives.  We can look back at the timeline of our lives and realize that each challenge and difficulty led us onto a path where we became stronger, wiser, and better.

We can look at things differently.  Our perspectives can shift.  We can realize and choose to believe that the Universe really was designed to conspire on our behalf.  We can start NOW to make better choices in how we react and respond to situations that may arise.  We can begin to take a minute in the middle of everything that is going “wrong” and focus on all of the other things that are going “right.”  We can begin to practice an attitude of gratitude and see how life becomes more beautiful.  We can make better decisions and have better outcomes because of it.

We can realize that all of the seemingly small, seemingly meaningless decisions we make actually add up to, and accumulate into, something HUGE.

Life isn’t happening to us.  Life is happening for us.  Most days I think I won’t come to the realization of the purpose for most things that happen until after I am dead and gone.  I do believe that everything that happens has a purpose and that eventually some good will come from ALL of it.  Our life experiences INFORM US.

Years ago, after going through something I felt was awful, horrible, and completely devastating, I wrote this:

“I don’t believe in mistakes.  EVERYTHING, no matter how horrible, destructive, painful or bad it may be-whether they do it to us, we do it to them, or we do it to ourselves-is in some way, no matter how big or small-EVENTUALLY for our own greater good.  EVERYTHING.  Only after we realize this, learn this, know this for ourselves by going through hell and being burned by the fire will we truly learn gratitude.  Only by being truly grateful will we be truly happy.  Embrace your tragedies!  Embrace your pain!  FEEL IT ALL.  It is at this moment the universe is about to sling shot you from the depths of despair to the most beautiful heights of your eternal existence.”

Life has highs and lows.  Through pain and recovery, we gain hope.  We are strengthened.  We become wiser.  Know that no matter how bad today is, things always get better.  BAD TIMES DON’T LAST.  Even though things may get worse again, it will then get better again.  That is life, and we have the courage, strength, and wherewithal within ourselves to make this life exactly what we want it to be in spite of it all.

Reminder to self:  Be open to challenges.  Be open to pain.  Be open to change, hard work, and growth.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will remember:  Life is not happening TO me.  Life is happening FOR me.  I will use this belief as a tool for improvement.  I will begin to ask empowering questions of the Universe.  I will let go and trade my expectations for appreciation.

March 24: Providing with a mindset of Wealth and Abundance

Providing for ourselves is a necessity.  How we provide for ourselves is a choice.  We can do it in many different ways.  Eventually, we have to meet our own needs is life, so that we won’t have to continually depend upon others to meet and provide for our needs.  We decide what our needs are, then commit to the actions that provide for, and result in meeting, those needs.

When we decide that WE are our source of abundance, rather than others, EVERYTHING changes.

Some people choose to obtain educations and improve their earning capabilities because they don’t only want to provide for their needs.  They also want to provide for their wants.  In addition, they want to provide for the needs and wants of people they choose to love and spend time with.  They choose to live in a bigger, nicer, safer, more beautiful home, and do what is necessary to obtain it and keep it.  Others do this to prove they are enough, always feeling inadequate inside, while trying to prove on the outside that they are more deserving, more valuable, or better than others.

At what age should we begin learning the value of responsibilities, creating wealth, and providing for ourselves?  At what age is it important to think about caring for and providing for not just ourselves, but others, as well?  At what age does mindset matter?  At what age does character count?  At what age do we decide that WE are to be our source of abundance, instead of OTHERS?

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will think about and decide upon exactly what I need and what I want within the next three years.  I will make a way to provide those things for myself.  I will also decide what I want to provide for my loved ones in the next three years, and I will make a way to provide those things for my loved ones.

Creating financial independence and a wealthy, enjoyable lifestyle for ourselves and others requires a different set of beliefs and a different mindset for many of us.  For inspiration and help with these new beliefs and mindset, it is best to follow in the footsteps of others who have already accomplished what we want to.  If we don’t KNOW better, we can’t DO better.  The more we research, read, listen to, and stalk (preferably on-line and through books) people who have achieved the level of success in life that we want to, and choose them as our mentors, the more we will learn EXACTLY what we need to do to achieve the same, and decide if we are then willing to do what it takes to commit to the actions necessary.

March 23: Adding Meaning And Value

When we add meaning and value to the lives of others in any way, we improve ourselves and those around us.  We become more valuable.  There are infinite ways to do this.  I think the best and easiest way to add meaning and value to others is to be our best self!  But how do we do this?

By being our true and authentic self and doing something we love, our passion is put in to whatever it is we choose to do.  What we do is enjoyable, easy, and beautiful because we actually want to do it.  We always hear people say, “Do what you love!”  This is why:  They have figured out the value in doing what they love.  They feel fulfilled, happy, joyful, energized, full of life, strong, and like they are improving not only their lives but the lives of those around them.

Doing what we love ENERGIZES us.

Those who do what they love doing have made it a need and a priority to add meaning and value to themselves and others by thinking, saying, doing, creating, and even selling something, that fills a need and improves lifestyle and the enjoyment of this existence.  They have put themselves into a creative flow state, and through creating something valuable, they are more valuable and they are energized and empowered to continue to consistently add value.

Not every day will be perfect, easy, pain-free, and energizing.  But, if we are doing what we love, we will be adding value and meaning to our lives, and to the lives of those around us.

When we figure out what people spend the majority of their time, efforts, energy, and money on, we know what they value.  When we know what they value, we are able to add more value to them.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will strive to add value and meaning to my life and to the lives of those around me in some way, simply to see how it feels.  I will search within myself to figure out what I enjoy doing and find little ways, every day, to do those things in order to add that value and meaning to myself and others.  I will be my best self.

These are helpful hints on how to start over when you don’t know what to do:

Jay Shetty has some of the greatest advice I have ever heard on how to find your purpose:

March 22: Our Feelings Matter!

How we feel is important.  It is a way to gauge how we think our life is going.  What we choose to believe, focus on, and think about, determines the way we feel.  Our feelings then generate a gravitational, magnetic and vibrational frequency that we transmit out into the universe, which attracts all similarly magnetized events, people, places, things, situations and circumstances back to us to receive.  Therefore, what we believe, think about, and choose to focus on throughout the day, matters a great deal!

Have you ever decided to focus on something and a few hours into the day the distractions of life take your focus away entirely, until you find yourself stressed out and focused on something you don’t want to focus on at all?  How do we get back to our center, re-ground, and re-focus on what we wanted to focus on in the first place?

Toni Robbins teaches us to ask ourselves questions, that when we answer, brings our desired focus back.  Some examples can be:

  • What do I have in my life to be grateful for right now?
  • What are my short-term and long-term goals?
  • Is what I’m thinking, saying, and doing right now helping me accomplish what I want to in life for myself and others?
  • What are my favorite memories in life that make me smile or even laugh?

How do you feel when you honestly answer these questions?  We can change our mood at any point in our day by re-focusing on what ever it is we want to.  How we feel, therefore, is actually up to us according to what we are consistently choosing to focus upon, no matter how bad our day seems or what is going on around us.

What is going on around us in the outside world doesn’t matter nearly as much as what is going on inside us.  It is the inner world we consistently choose to create that eventually manifests in the outer world.  WE RENDER OUR REALITIES.

Little perspective checks and reminders throughout the day of just how blessed and lucky I really am, are empowering, encouraging, and helpful.

A simple shift in perspective can lead to a MASSIVE shift in our personal reality.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will practice re-focusing on the things that make me feel happy, fulfilled, positive, strong, and good.  I will constantly work towards FEELING GOOD, MOST OF THE TIME.  I believe that by doing this and making it a habit I will be a better version of myself and be in a better position emotionally and mentally to help others.

The book, THE POWER OF NOW, by Eckhart Tolle is a PHENOMENAL read.  I highly recommend buying the audio version of this book and listening to it regularly.

Dr. Caroline Leaf shares one of the most empower and hope-producing messages I have ever come across, on the Lewis Howes Show.

The fact is, how we feel IMMEDIATELY determines the chemicals, hormones, and immune-boosting properties, that are continuously being sent throughout our entire body, within just two pumps of the heart!  How we consistently feel is determined by what we consistently CHOOSE to focus on and think about.  Our mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and financial wellness, health, and progress is ENTIRELY OUR RESPONSIBILITY and OUR continuous creation.

WE ARE CO-CREATORS WITH THE UNIVERSE.

I absolutely LOVE what Joe Dispenza and Bruce Lipton teach, regarding this subject.  I highly recommend putting their names into the YouTube search engine, and enjoying the new scientific and technological advances they share.

March 20: Don’t Be A Crab

When at the beach one day, a little boy collected a bunch of crabs and put them into a bucket.  He watched them for hours.  The light breeze blew his hair, the sun kissed his skin, and the mood of the crowd at the beach that day was light and happy.  His father came over and watched with him for a bit.  “Notice what happens when one of the crabs tries to crawl out of the bucket and escape.”

As the boy watched he observed that when a crab would reach for the top of the bucket and get into a position to where he could pull himself out and just when it was about free from the bucket and able to escape, one of the other crabs would reach up and hold onto the fleeing crab and pull it back into the bucket.  This happened every single time, all day long.

The boy became frustrated and confused.  Why wouldn’t the crabs let each other escape?  He didn’t want them to, but as he watched he found himself rooting for the escaping crab, hoping it would somehow make it out of the bucket.  Not one of them ever did.

What is the lesson in this story and how does it apply to our lives?

For me, it is this:  It shows great character to be happy for others who are succeeding in life, especially when we feel that we are not.  When we support others, instead of tearing them down, we become better in the process.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will focus on lifting myself up out of my current situation into something even better and I will help others do the same along the way, even if I have to push them out of the bucket of our current circumstances in front of me on the way out.

Check out this incredible interview and see how Rachel Hollis handled the crabs in her life.  ❤️

March 19: Our Environment

Many times, at certain periods of our life experience, we may not have complete control over our environment.  As children, we can’t very well go where ever we want to, whenever we want to.  It is important, however, that we place ourselves (every chance we are able to) in a safe, nurturing, supportive environment.  It is in these environments that healing takes place and personal growth can occur.

The beauty and magic of meditation and visualization is that we can create an INNER ENVIRONMENT that we can enjoy, use to heal within, and experience ANY feeling we desire, almost ANY TIME we choose.  Whatever we create and cultivate within, we project onto the virtual matrix which we live on.  As within so without.

When we are able be calm and focus on the important things, it is much easier to keep things in perspective.  It is extremely helpful if we are not always in “survival mode.”  A stress-free environment is helpful for each of us in many ways.  While intermittent periods of stress can contribute to our growth and making us stronger, prolonged stress causes lowered immune function, disease, illness, weakness, and eventually an early death.

Some of us may think we need constant chaos and stress in our lives to feel okay and normal-especially when we were raised in such an environment and that has always been our emotional baseline.  At times, we even create chaotic and stressful situations for ourselves because of this belief or need to perpetuate this feeling, because perceived feelings of safety feel incredibly uncomfortable.  This is especially true where abuse has been present.  The feelings we experience after prolonged, consistent abuse can actually become a habitual emotional baseline, and can be a hard habit one to break.

What type of environment do you want to live in?  What can you do consistently, each day, to create that exact environment in which you want to thrive?  We are co-creators with the Universe and every living thing within this world that we choose to interact with, and we can literally create, and then choose to consistently re-create, the environment and life of our dreams, each moment of every day.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will begin to create the exact environment I want to be in.  I will surround myself with the people, places, things, thoughts, habits, and feelings I need, to create that environment.

MEDITATION is an excellent tool we can use for just a little time, each day, to create a peaceful, supportive, loving environment within, NO MATTER WHAT is going on in the outside world.  I highly recommend the book STRESS LESS, ACCOMPLISH MORE, by Emily Fletcher.  It is the book that inspired me to finally try meditating, which has forever improved and altered the trajectory of my life.

This video featuring Earl Shoaff has been an incredibly helpful tool in manifesting and enjoying the exact environment and life I want.  I hope it helps do the same for you.  The message, for me, was something new.  It was a new way for me to think and create, and it works!

March 18: The Power Of Visualization

Visualization is such a powerful tool.  It helps to redirect our focus and get into the mindset of creating and generating the motivation, inspiration, energy, power, and strength to take action and do what we need and want to do in order to get the results we want in our lives.

Thoughts inject chemicals and hormones into the blood stream.  Within two pumps of the heart, those chemicals and hormones have reached every part of our body, creating feelings directly relating to the thoughts we are thinking throughout the body.  To visualize is to feel as if what we are visualizing has already taken place.

This is why successful people re-read their goals every single day.  Doing this, we can literally envision what we will be thinking, saying, and doing after our goals have been accomplished and we are already living the life we want to live, with the things and feelings and thoughts we want to have.  It has been said, “If you can hold it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.”  It’s true, as long as we believe it is true.

Reminder to self:  Make the time to re-read goals on a daily, consistent basis.  Add this one action into your daily routine, and immediately afterwards, spend as much time as you can envisioning exactly how you will feel, where you will be, what you will be doing, where you will be living, who you will be with, and what you will be saying.  The more specific your vision is, and the longer you are able to envision it and create an inspired, motivated mindset from within yourself, the sooner you will take the appropriate, consistent action to create this reality for yourself.  When you think and act as if it is already happening, you are in the creative process.  Try this every day for a month and see for yourself!

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will add the small, easy task of reading my goals every day as a part of my daily routine and make the time to envision my life as if these goals have already been accomplished.

March 17: Pain + Reflection = Progress

Pain + Reflection = Progress, but ONLY IF WE RE-CALIBRATE, PIVOT, ADAPT, AND ADJUST, before going at it AGAIN.

We all go through rough times.  Those rough times eventually can be considered blessings in disguise.  It has been my most painful moments which have inspired the most growth and change.  It is important for us to experience rough times.  It is helpful for us to be uncomfortable.

We speak a lot about what we want, but what do we not want?  Without the good and the bad, we would never fully appreciate either.  Experiencing extreme contrasting experiences is how we learn what we do and do not want more of.  Our thinking alters our beliefs and empowers us to upgrade our actions.  We would never choose to make progress if we were always comfortable and things were always easy and great.  Hardships are a part of this life experience as part of a greater plan.  Hardships are meant to be in our lives.  Our difficulties are a blessing.

Difficulties help us to think, change, progress, learn to lean on others, and learn to let others lean on us.  Our “difficult times” are a blessing, but only if only we think of them as blessings.

Experiencing difficulties instills within us an understanding and a level of empathy and compassion we previously didn’t have.  This comes in useful for those experiencing something similar to what we have gone through.

What are some difficulties you have experienced in the past?  What blessings, lessons, new practices, and skills came from growing through those struggles?

Ask the difficult question:  “What good might come from this?”

Reminder to self:  Nobody likes going through difficulties, and it’s just a fact of life that sooner or later we all will.  Accept it, learn from it, change in a way that will help you be more prepared to react well to the next difficulty, ask for help or advice FROM EXCELLENT SOURCES, and be there for others.  As bad as life may seem, it is still so good.  Choose and keep good perspectives and beliefs.  Review the things you still have to be grateful for.  Everything is going to be okay.  Bad times don’t last.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will do all I can to help another who may be going through a difficult time.  A kind word, a small act to show I care, a phone call, or even a hug can make a world of difference for someone.
