April 16: Energies

Everything we think, say, or do, either creates or destroys.  WE decide if our energy will be creative energy or destructive energy.

When we learn to LET GO and let the ENERGY FLOW, miracles begin to unfold in our lives.

After a LONG day, I have discovered an AIR-TIGHT way to RE-ALIGN, RE-ENERGIZE, RE-IDENTIFY, and BEGIN AGAIN, empowering me to accomplish and DO so much more. It took me a few years to research, seek out, find, and experiment with MANY things, but this is, so far, what works best for me. 🥰💪🏼🔥

The energy we put out is the energy that is naturally attracted back to us.  If we are angry all the time, we will encounter more angry people.  If we are LOVE, we will attract nothing but LOVE.  Every situation, event, circumstance, thing, and person in our lives RIGHT NOW, is a manifestation and a projection WE created and are constantly attracting.  The beautiful truth in this, if we choose to accept it, is that WE CAN RECREATE OUR PERSONAL REALITY IN A MORE BEAUTIFUL WAY, any time we choose to.

If we choose to look at and emit the positive, we will meet more positive people.  The energy we put out is the energy that will be attracted back to us.

The reason that everywhere we look, we see what we are looking for, is that what we choose to focus on and pay attention to is what we program our subconscious mind to hone in on.  Of the 40 BILLION bits of data coming at us every second, our subconscious mind only notices what it has been programmed to notice, in order to avoid overwhelm and shutting down.

According to the world-renowned Cellular Biologist and Professor, Bruce Lipton, each of our 50 TRILLION cells has 1.4 Volts within them. Each cell has a negative charge on the inside, and a positive charge on the outside. Each cell ALSO has an antennae, which transmits and receives information FAR faster than we can currently comprehend.

This means that each of us contains, WITHIN us, 700 TRILLION VOLTS.  People have been known to Self-COMBUST!  This would explain just how that is possible.

“I’m tired,” is BS! We simply haven’t yet learned of or implemented the tools that this body is capable of accessing and using…

Have you ever wondered why sometimes a bad day keeps getting worse and a good day keeps getting better?  The things we habitually think, say, and do, as soon as we wake up, tend to create a baseline mood at the start of our day, it’s all about MOMENTUM.  Our mood and what we choose to focus on tends to dictate the energy we put out into the world, the way we continue to think, the way we speak to and treat others, and the way our day will go.  The only thing we can truly control is our self, our reactions, our thoughts, words, and actions.

The reason that we get more of what we focus on is due to a little piece of machinery in our brains called the Reticular Activating System, or the RAS. That which we choose to focus on perpetuates itself and creates the energy we live with and emit.

By sticking to and consistently working towards a gradual completion of our strategies, plans, and goals, we help ourselves to put out creative, positive, good energy.  We become more grounded and centered.  We become more emotionally  and mentally solid.  We consistently become a better version of our self, and not only do we benefit from this, but so does everyone around us!

What are YOU using YOUR energy to focus upon and create today?

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will put out creative, good, positive energy.  I will start by choosing to focus on the good in my life I have to be grateful for.

Dr. Joe Dispenza has some of the most incredible scientific facts on energies and changing for the better that I have ever come across.  He is one of my favorite mentors I follow.  I HIGHLY recommend inserting his name into the YouTube search engine for MANY personal upgrade opportunities.

April 15: Blame and PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

When we blame others for ANYTHINGwe give away our power.  If we blame our self and accept full responsibility for EVERYTHING, we take back our power and we hold on to it.  We become responsible, accountable, build credibility with ourselves and others, and we begin to earn and deserve confidence in our own abilities.

Blaming others is the same as criticizing them and putting all the negative energy and responsibility on them, and it will elicit a negative, destructive response, in which they will harbor anger, bitterness,  and resentment towards us.  Blaming is the fastest way to drive love and people OUT of our lives.  Blaming others destroys trust and sends a message that we don’t trust others, and that we don’t trust ourselves.

Accepting responsibility, practicing accountability, and acknowledging our role in ALL things, helps us to retain our power and energy within most situations and exhibits strength and humility.  It fosters an environment in which, if repeated consistently, others will eventually be inspired to follow suit, think it’s cool, and do the same.

We all want to get better, stronger, and wiser.  We all naturally want to improve, progress, grow, and expand, especially when the outcome is positive and the energy created by responses in our environment are positive.  An EXCELLENT way to do this is by taking responsibility for EVERYTHING going on in our lives.

We are 100% responsible for the personal reality we create, manifest, attract, and project.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will remember to blame no one for anything, and will remember to accept responsibility for everything.  I will quickly admit my mistakes and learn from them.

Tom Bilyeu is consistently raw and real, which is why I love his work and follow him closely.  He holds nothing back, pulls no punches, and is HIGHLY effective in his personal, self-recreation process, and empowers others with the opportunities to do the same.  Want a perspective-check?  Time Bilyeu is a great source.

Gary Vaynerchuck is a great source for a perspective-check on personal accountability, as well.

Wayne Dyer has some incredible advice about taking responsibility for everything:

April 14: Change Or Die

A book has been written about people who HAVE to make some very small daily changes in order to live a healthy lifestyle.  They are told that without these changes they will soon die.  Literally.  They have to take a pill every day and change a few eating habits.  Around 80% of them choose NOT to change.  It just seems too overwhelming, too challenging, too daunting a task.  They would rather die than have to change by simply doing just a few small things differently!

Why?  Stubbornness?  Laziness?  No vision for the future?  No meaning in their lives?  Habituated practices that are so automatic it makes change seemingly impossible?  What got them to this point in their lives in the first place?  I’ve been there.  I’ve been in a place where change seemed impossible for me.  I was completely hopeless.  When extreme pain, discomfort, and trauma can’t even inspire and motivate us to change, what are some other reasons that may empower us to do it?

Each of us need pretty big, important reasons to be inspired to change!  Research and studies have shown that we will change for loved ones, which is why it is so important to create deep, fulfilling, meaningful connections and bonds with others.  Sometimes, the one thing that will save us from ourselves is someone we love or care about at that time.  For many of us, our children save us from ourselves, and from giving up.  We may want to be healthy enough to be able to play with our grandchildren.  That has absolutely proven true for me.  My children are literally the only reason I am alive today.  There was a dark period within my life I wouldn’t have survived if it weren’t for their existence in my life.

If we won’t or can’t change for OURSELVES, maybe it will be easier to change for someone we love.  I believe that hat eventually, however, we all need to learn to practice loving and accepting ourselves enough to the point that change becomes inevitable and easy.  Many times it is our own Self Image and feelings of unworthiness that needs to be changed before everything else in life will fall into place.

I believe it is SO important, empowering, and helpful to change, improve and continuously upgrade thinking habits, perspectives, practices, beliefs, and mindset.

Jim Rohn tells his story incredibly  well, about how from the age of 19 to 25 he spent 6 years practicing small errors in judgement which led to his financial and emotional demise.  Changing just a few things he thought about and did every day made the difference!  He upgraded what he hoped and dreamed, and worked hard, and kept at it, every day in some small, easy ways.  The next 6 years he focused on self-improvement and adding value to his life and the lives of others.  In the next 6 years he went from being penniless and owing money to many debtors, to being a millionaire and enjoying financial freedom, an incredible home life, amazing friendships, and a completely new perspective on EVERYTHING.  In his book, 7 STRATEGIES FOR WEALTH AND HAPPINESS, he outlines HOW ANYONE can do the same.  It’s easy!  All that is necessary is a consistent commitment to personal growth, change, and improvement.

He taught that his financial success was simply an outward manifestation of the inner world he had created for himself.  He taught that, Success in the financial world is something we will attract by the person we become.

Success leaves clues.

So do failures.

A stupid man never learns from his failures.  He will remain a victim with a long list of excuses why he can’t, and he will blame EVERYONE and EVERYTHING ELSE for his failures.

A smart man will eventually learn from his failures.  He will, over time, realize his life is entirely up to him, and his excuses, shame, and blame have wasted years of his life.

A wise man will learn from the failures, and successes, of OTHERS, through simple observation.  He will research, learn, and ask questions.  He will read books and listen to podcasts.  He will avoid the pitfalls and traps others have fallen prey to and do EXACTLY what has worked well for others.  He will use the failures of others as his roadmap to success.  His focus will be on nothing but creation and consistent change.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will think of some aspect of my life I am unhappy with or challenged by and come up with three, easy-to-do, daily actions I can take in order to change that one thing.  I will COMMIT, and CONSISTENTLY work and make it happen.

Self-Awareness comes from answering difficult questions.  Self-Awareness leads to Self-Actualization and Self-Recreation.  Consistency in this practice leads to continuous growth, improvements, progress, and change.

REAL and LASTING change comes not from KNOWING, but from DOING.  Knowing different things is separate from DOING different things.  When it comes to change, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO IMPLEMENTING NEW HABITS and DOING the work.  EXPERIMENT WITH EVERYTHING, and be WISE enough to only keep doing what works.  OBSERVE to learn, as well.

The book, ATOMIC HABITS, by James Clear, outlines MANY ways to habituate new practices and makes it EASY to change.

TO KNOW AND NOT TO DO IS NOT TO KNOW.

April 13: Fire

I once heard the idea that fear is like a small fire and time is the wood.  It is true with thoughts, mindset, and anything else.  Time is the thing that will provide space to magnify or grow whatever it is we consistently think about and choose to focus on.

Having a thought is like planting a seed.  Thinking the thought a few times a day for 5 years is like watering it, fertilizing it, and watching it grow.  What we plant is up to us.  Is it going to be a fruit tree?  A money tree?  A deadly poison?

The quality of life we live a year from now, and 10 years from now, will be a direct result of the quality of our thoughts each day.  Each thought creates a feeling, after injecting certain chemicals and hormones into our blood stream, causing us to speak and act according to how our repetitive thoughts make us feel.  WE create the emotions we experience through our thinking and perspectives, and the vibrations that we transmit are magnetic, gravitationally attracting more of what we feel back to us.  We can choose to think the thoughts that will lead us to the words and actions that will propel us directly into the EXACT life we want to live.

Our thoughts are the fire and time is the wood.

We can create a fire that will warm our souls and light our path, or we can burn everything down to the ground.  The choice is OURS.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will choose my thoughts carefully.  I will check myself throughout the day to determine if I need to re-focus my thoughts to reflect my true desires.

April 12: Money Matters

Money does not equal happiness, but the lack of money almost always leads to extreme discomfort, stress and unhappiness.

Money can be the cause of great stress and anxiety or an excellent way to purchase the luxurious illusions of peace, security, and comfort.  Money matters!  Having enough is important.  Having more than enough is enjoyable, and the abundant overflow can be an opportunity to do more for, and give more to others.

How long is it going to be acceptable to merely survive, financially, before we decide to begin to thrive?

Money can help us and those around us to enjoy an improved and more fulfilling lifestyle.  It is not meant to be our only focus or pursuit in life, but it certainly can be one of the many.

Constant improvement and self-development will eventually NATURALLY lead us to financial success, because the more value we add, the more valuable we become.  Our inside world, and the level of consciousness we project into reality will directly correlate with our outward abundance we create and manifest.  AS WITHIN SO WITHOUT.

Success in the financial world is something we will attract by the person we become within.

It has been said that money is a multiplier, or even a magnifier.  More money makes us more of who we identify as.  If we are cruel, more money will enable us to be more cruel.  If we are generous, giving, and kind, more money will empower us to be more generous, giving, and kind.

One of the biggest tools that helped us for financial freedom and success with money is the book, “The Total Money Makeover,” by Dave Ramsey.  My wife and I purchased the audio version to listen to together.  Listening to that book and following the advice helped us immensely.  It offered many useful perspectives and ways to think about abundance.  It got us started onto the important journey of financial recovery.  Another book that has been a light in the darkness is, THE MILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR.  There are MANY books, podcasts, and other useful sources of financial advice.

IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT TO READ A BOOK IS TO MEDITATE WITH THE AUTHOR.

THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO, by Melody Beattie, contains a short read for every day of the year, and has been my favorite empowerment tool I have used consistently for YEARS to up-level my inner world. I HIGHLY recommend getting and reading this book DAILY.  In fact, it was this book that inspired me to write MY DAILY PERSPECTIVE SHIFT.

WE ALWAYS GET MORE OF WHAT WE FOCUS ON.  WE ALWAYS GET MORE OF WHAT WE ALLOW.  WE DESERVE THAT WHICH WE TOLERATE AND ACCEPT, BECAUSE WE ARE THE ACTUAL CREATORS OF OUR FINANCIAL DESTINATIONS.

We can choose to plan for and work towards financial freedom.  No one wants to be a financial burden on others.  Only WE know the best ways for us as individuals to do this.

Remember:  If we don’t KNOW better, we can’t DO better.  The same things don’t work for everyone, but isn’t it worth trying something that has worked so well for others?

Jim Rohn said, “Success is not something you pursue, but something you attract by becoming a better person.”  This is also true when it comes to financial abundance.

If we continuously strive to consistently be and do our best, and work towards constant self-improvement, our best will consistently get better.  We will improve.  We will add value to EVERY area of our lives, and that will attract not only what we need but everything we want, plan for, work for, hope for, and dream of.

We are co-creators with the Universe, and our lives are 100% OUR responsibility.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will think on and come up with a plan to better my financial situation in some way.  I will seek out those who have been successful in this endeavor and learn from THEM.

Once we financially recover, we can begin to really THRIVE with our finances, and INVEST.  I have been blessed to meet and get to know a financial advisor, who has helped and further educated my wife and I on future possibilities for extreme financial abundance.  He has helped MANY people become more financially aware, repaired, and abundant, and I highly recommend learning more from this man.

His name is Ference Toth, and he teaches a concept known as, MY PERSONAL BANK.  Feel free to listen to his weekly radio show, watch his YouTube presentations, and contact him.  You won’t ever regret speaking to him, learning more from him, or following his advice!

April 11: Fail To Plan And You Plan To Fail

Throughout this human experience, with the right strategies, things like winning, success, fulfillment, and happiness, can become our only outcomes.  Life will offer up challenges and setbacks.  That is normal.  That is life.  In the history of mankind, life has always been full of learning opportunities and difficulties.  If we stick to the basics, stick to our plans and strategies, and remember that setbacks, failures, devastating blows, and sadness are only temporary, we will win.  We will prevail.  We will succeed.  We will live a fulfilling life.  We will be happy.  Contentment will abound.  Everyone around us will gain from having us in their lives.  We will add value to others without even trying because we will become more and more valuable every single day.

We can choose to adopt the exact mindset, skills, attributes, and characteristics we desire to have 10 years from now.  We can then implement a daily, consistent practice or set of activities to work towards accomplishing those things, just a little each day.

Remember:  Whoever said the small things don’t matter has never seen a match start a wildfire.  Every repeated act is compounded.  WE EARN AND CREATE OUR RESULTS THROUGH OUR DAILY ACTIONS.

We can choose to know exactly what we want in life-and dream big!  We can break it all down to easy, daily, consistent activities that will guide us to that target we are constantly aiming at.  Even if it is just one thing we do every day, it is better than nothing.  The simpler the better.  Small things matter.  Small steps in the right direction are powerful.

We can make it a habit to focus and constantly re-focus, on that which we wish to create, every single day.  It is helpful to start the day off listening to something motivational and re-read our list of goals and plans (our strategy) every morning before starting our day.  For ideas what to do to optimize your own morning routine, click here.

John Earl Shoaff is one of the most empowering speakers I have ever heard.  I listen to him often.

Decide, commit, succeed, repeat.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will revisit my “goals” and realize they are my strategies for my success, and my plans for constant growth and improvement.  I will project myself into the future, envision my idea of my perfect results in life for myself and those I love, and I will make a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly strategy, to bring this life into my current reality.  I will constantly do the work that will empower me to expand into this greater vision of my self.

I will remember that I am a co-creator with the Universe.

I will remind myself often that by developing consistently and daily into the best version of myself I can possibly be, that I will be more capable of adding value, for myself and for those around me.

April 10: Focus, Focus, Focus

WE FEED WHAT WE FOCUS ON.  WE ENERGIZE WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.  WE MANIFEST WHAT WE GIVE OUR ATTENTION TO.  THE INTENSITY OF OUR EMOTIONS DETERMINES HOW QUICKLY IT HAPPENS.

We become what we think about all day long.  If we think good, positive, kind, productive, creative thoughts, we will eventually get those results.  If we think negative, destructive, ineffective, weak, disempowering thoughts, those are the results we will eventually get.  We project and manifest what we see ourselves to be, and we observe and notice only that which is within.

WE create the life we live.  It all starts with the consistent choices we make in what to continuously and consistently focus on.  It takes time, consistency, and belief, and what we focus on, we create.

How important is it, then, what we choose to focus on all day long?  What are you, personally, choosing to think about and focus on all day?  Is there something you could consistently listen to, read, or look at first thing in the morning, that would turn your focus and your thoughts to that which you WANT to focus on all day long, that will eventually yield to the life you want?  Is that thing important enough to set an alarm just 10 minutes, or even an hour earlier. in order to re-focus on that thing?

I have found it to be INCREDIBLY useful to set alarms on my phone to go off at certain times of the day to remind me to do certain things repeatedly in order to create new habits.  My favorite alarm:

What do you want MORE of, RIGHT NOW?  Re-focus.  BEGIN AGAIN.

EVERY MOMENT is an opportunity to re-focus and begin again.

This alarm  reminds me to focus on and give attention to ONLY that which I want to create MORE of within myself, like unconditional love and compassion, kindness, peace, acceptance, appreciation, empathy, and understanding.

Dr. Wayne Dyer teaches:

“You can not manifest what you want if your attention is on what IS.  You can not manifest what you want if your attention is on WHAT HAS BEEN.  You can not manifest what you want if your attention is on what others expect of you, want from you, or what others think of you.”

To manifest what we want, we can choose to look ahead, and work like hell, and practice TRULY ENJOYING and appreciating each moment along the way

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will watch my thoughts and my focus, and make a conscious effort to focus and re-focus on the good, positive, kind, productive, creative thoughts.  I will choose what I decide to consistently focus on all day long.  I will create the life I want through focus and hard work.

April 9: Strategize

Each day is the opportunity to use our personal strategies to win the battle of the day.  If we win enough daily battles, eventually we win the war of life.  We are WARRIORS, and like Sun Tzu said, Every battle is won BEFORE it is fought.”  A solid strategy, used to design a day, and intentionally set us up for success, is available to us all.  When we consistently upgrade our strategies, we consistently upgrade the quality of our personal reality!

WISDOM OFTEN COMES AS A RESULT OF UNWISE CHOICES.

It’s okay to, “mess up.”  There are no mistakes or failures-only LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.

Using good judgement gets great results.  Often times, good judgement comes from lessons we learn, but if we learn from the mistakes of others, we can fast track ourselves onto a path of accelerated progress.  If we have a good strategy while constantly re-creating ourselves, upgrading our Self-Image, and while creating the life we want, we will usually succeed.

If we have clarity and an exact target to aim at, and know exactly what we want to accomplish, there is no other possibility but eventual success.

Good strategies include:

  • Creating, implementing, and consistently adhering to a personal morning routine.  Repetition begets mastery, and when we win the morning, we win the entire day.  A strategicly planned morning routine is all about MOMENTUM.  To enter into a new day with a solid strategy is to plan on conquering the day.  “IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN, YOU PLAN TO FAIL.” -Jim Rohn  (Click here for helpful tips on creating the best possible morning routine for yourself.)
  • Setting clear goals with specificity about what we want to accomplish and by when.
  • Creating a positive mindset and maintaining it.  Again, REPETITION IS THE KEY here.  Listening to content we want installed as programming into our subconscious mind RIGHT BEFORE SLEEPING and RIGHT AFTER WAKING UP, is an opportunity worth checking into.
  • CONSTANTLY thinking of and being aware of all we have to be grateful for.
  • Creating a more empowering belief system, and ESPECIALLY consistently upgrading our Self-Image.  “An UPGRADE in our BELIEFS OF SELF will automatically lead to an UPGRADE IN HABITS.” -Maxwell Maltz.  ”ALL HUMANS FEEL, ACT AND PERFORM IN ACCORDANCE WITH WHAT THEY BELIEVE TO BE TRUE ABOUT THEMSELVES.” -Maxwell Maltz.  ”YOU CANNOT CONSISTENTLY PERFORM IN A MANNER WHICH IS INCONSISTENT WITH THE WAY YOU SEE YOURSELF.” -Zig Zigler (Click here for more, or see The goodinthehead Beliefs Project.)
  • Adopting and consistently practicing good habits.  (Click here for more, or see The goodinthehead Habit-Hacking Challenge.)
  • Remaining open to ALL things, while being attached to NO thing.  Continuous learning, growing, improving, progressing, and expanding into an upgraded version of ourselves.

We are all unique and different.  There will ALWAYS be opportunities for growth and progress.

Reminder to self:

Ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly:

  • What are my exact and specific goals?  What exactly do I want to accomplish daily, monthly, yearly, and in 10 years?
  • What can I do daily to create and keep a positive mindset for myself?
  • What is MY specific idea of, “good habits?”

Zig Zigar shared the importance of BALANCE in our personal lives, while in the pursuit of strategically implementing and experimenting with possible upgrades, and designing our goals.  He called this personal project THE WHEEL OF LIFE.  Basically, reviewing our personal Wheel of Life weekly or monthly, during a Self Check-In session, we see where we can do even better, or spend less time working towards progressing in certain areas of life, in order to maintain balance, and keep the wheel perfectly round.  You see, an imbalanced tire tends to operate less effectively, wear down more quickly in certain areas more than others, and eventually-especially at high speeds, can blow out.

Each area of life is represented by a spoke in the wheel.  These areas include SELF-IMAGE/PERSONAL, FAMILY, CAREER, PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SPIRITUAL, and FINANCIAL aspects of life.  Within the length of each spoke are the numbers 1 through 10, starting with 1 towards the center of the wheel, and ending with 10 towards the outside of the wheel.  Within each area, we can record where we believe ourselves to be operating within each area of life, and choose the number, 1 through 10, that we feel best represents where we currently are.

If we are at 1’s in every area of life, our tread lasts MUCH longer and provides for a much smoother ride, than if we are measuring our financial progress at a 9, while operating at a 1, spiritually.  Using the wheel of life, we will see IMMEDIATELY how balanced or imbalanced we are in our personal lives, and can adjust accordingly.  This in a fairly accurate method with which we can measure our progress, adjust our strategies, and receive immediate feedback on our personal progress.  It is a useful tool.  Try it out for yourself!

You can add or rename these spokes to fit your own needs.

Here is an example of where I currently am, which provides immediate feedback to me where I can do more, and in which area of life I can do less, thereby creating more BALANCE:

As you can see, and as I am now more aware of, the INNER circle I drew to connect the dots is asymmetrical.  If I were driving around in my car, and all four tires were shaped like this inner circle, which represents my CURRENT personal progress within each of these areas, it would only be a matter of time before the tread wears in only certain areas of the tires, and I eventually experience a blowout, or symptoms of unhappiness and unfulfillment that eventually appears (for me) much like anxiety, depression, frustration, hopelessness, etc.

The goal isn’t PERFECTION, ALL THE TIME, but rather PROGRESS, CONSISTENT EFFORTS, and DOING OUR BEST, remembering that our BEST is always changing and different, depending on MANY things, like how we are feeling, our current mindset, our energy levels, etc.  It is okay to remain consistent in our best efforts, and seem to be inconsistent in our actual results and outcomes.  WE know if we are doing our best, or not.  THAT is what TRULY matters, as it will provide credibility and confidence from within, FAR more effectively than the possibly inaccurate, false opinions, accolades, and validation of others.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will make the time to answer these questions and if I choose to I will write down my answers.  I know by doing so I will be focusing on things that will help me become the best version of myself I can be.  I will experiment with The Wheel of Life, and check in with myself periodically to measure my progress, with BALANCE within all areas of my life being the goal.

April 8: Independence and Accountability

Growing up I was given everything I needed, and even some of the things I wanted.  When it was time to be on my own, I would ask for things I thought I needed.  I heard the word, “No” a lot from my dad.  He taught me that if I wanted something, I should work for it and earn it for myself.  This concept brought value and self-confidence into my life.  It was his gift to me.  I appreciate that gift every, single day.

The world owes us nothing.  If we want something, we need to work for it and earn it.  We need to deserve it.  In doing these things we become independent and self-sufficient, and we earn credibility with ourselves and others.

Eventually, as we grow up and begin to learn to do the hard things on our own, WE are to become our OWN source of abundance, strength, and wisdom, before we are gifted the opportunity to pass it on to others, like our children.

I think it is possible that the MOST IMPORTANT things we can teach our children are the life-long practices of SELF-appreciation, SELF-acceptance, and SELF-love, so they won’t ever HAVE to depend upon others for such validation.

Reminder to self:  Make the decisions that will put you in the position to be, do, and have whatever it is you want, working and fighting like nobody will ever help you.

We can choose to strive to live a life and make choices that will put us in a position to never have to ask for help with anything.  This will build patterns and habits of independence, self-sufficiency, and will build strength and self-confidence like not many other things will.  By living a life like this, it will inspire others to do the same.  This is especially important for children to learn!  As parents we want to teach them to depend on themselves since we won’t always be around.  What better way to do it than by word and deed?  What better way to teach our children than by our own example?

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will remember the more I give the more I will get.  I will strive to create and maintain a life of financial independence and self-sufficiency.  I will remember that GAIN COMES THROUGH GIVING.  I will strive to be generous and independent, teaching those around me the value of these things through DOING them.

The lessons available in the stories of the interview between Tom Bilyeu and Ajit Nawalkha help in cultivating confidence, becoming more self-aware, earning credibility with ourselves, and creating an independent lifestyle with which we can contribute on a higher scale.
