June 28: The Way We Tell Our Stories

Tony Robbins teaches, “The story that protects you can also imprison you.”

The story we tell ourselves about ourselves, and the stories we tell others about ourselves, greatly affects us in many ways.  There is no way we can tell every single detail of our life story.  If we tried, it would take the same amount of time to tell our story as it took us to live it.  So, instead, we tell the highlights of our story.

Our stories define us.  Good or bad, optimistic or pessimistic, positive or negative, creative or destructive, the story we tell, and how we tell it, matters a great deal.  Our stories can change, be upgraded, and be re-framed, just like our beliefs.  Is the story you tell one of a survivor and a warrior, or one of a helpless victim?  Have you ever thought about WHY you tell the story you do?  It is useful to periodically ask the questions: What point am I trying to get across?  What is my agenda?  What am I trying to sell?

A story can be full of excuses as to why we aren’t as successful or fulfilled as we could have been.  This is the type of story that will imprison us, trap us, and continue to hold us back and keep us down.  This type of storytelling makes us a victim, creates a life with a fixed mindset, and takes away our strength and power.

Instead, we can practice telling an exciting story!  We can tell a story of adventure, strengths that came from failures, wisdom that came from mistakes and experiences, and love that blossomed from heart ache.  We can share how we experimented with EVERYTHING, and used the results as feedback.  We can tell a story of how we went through hell, but never quit, becoming a relentless hero that chose to never give up!  We can tell a story of exposure to new and interesting things which empowered us to learn, adapt, and recalibrate for future successes, deep and meaningful connections made along the way, and a story that expresses gratitude and happiness.  The story we tell ourselves defines us.  The story we tell others can influence how others define and treat us.  There is immense power in the creative words, “I AM…”

Today I will think about my own, personal story I tell and how and WHY I tell it.  I will also ponder how my story will be told when I am gone, and choose to live a life worthy of the story and LEGACY I desire, each moment of every day.  I will decide the legacy and the footprint that I want to leave behind, and focus on making that happen, every day, for the rest of my life.  I decide, here and now, to intentionally live a meaningful, fulfilling, life of purpose.

We can decide to choose a more empowering story!

Our perceptions of self and others matters a great deal.  The YouTube show, Impact Theory, has an episode featuring Mark Manson, and includes some thoughtful insights regarding this fact:

June 27: Getting Back On Track

Sometimes life gets busy.  It can get distracting and complicated.  It is incredibly useful to remember our daily routines we decided on for ourselves and get back to them.  It is useful to remember why we put our daily, morning routine in place to begin with.  It can be useful to remember our “why” and re-focus on our purpose or goals.

Remember the goals you made at the beginning of the year?  Remember the changes you wanted to make and why you wanted to make them?  Remember who you wanted to DO better for?

TODAY is the perfect day to review those things in our minds and to re-commit.

“TOGETHER IS BETTER” – Simon Sinek

I have found that it is extremely helpful to do this with someone else.  Research has shown that if we do something with someone who will check in with us and will agree to hold us accountable, it is more likely that we will accomplish the task(s) at hand.  Makes sense.

If you think it might help, find someone who you can review your goals with weekly or monthly and ask them to do the same with you.  My wife and I have a weekly check-in session on Sundays, and when we are consistent with this practice, it is INCREDIBLY empowering and helpful!

REFOCUS.  REALIGN.  IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BEGIN AGAIN.

RECORDING and TRACKING our personal progress, and reviewing it daily, weekly, and monthly with ourself or our accountability coach is SO helpful.

Remembering to choose kindness over being right, as we practice our communication and accountability skills has proven useful.

Ask yourself:

What are my three most important goals?

Why do I have the goals in place?  What is the purpose of those goals?

Ask someone:

Would you be willing to check in with me (however often you find it useful to you) to ask:

  • What have you been doing consistently, each and every day to, work towards your goals?
  • How much time have you been spending each day on your task(s) vs. how much time have you used in a wasteful manner?
  • What is the reason you made these goals?  WHO did you make them for?

I have also found it incredibly useful to create a daily check-in log, to keep track of the answers to these questions. It helps me to be more self-aware, and motivates me to make adjustments and recalibrate as needed.

Today I will find a “Goal Partner,” or an “Accountability Partner,” if I decide that is something that might motivate and empower me and allow me the opportunity to support and empower myself or someone else.  I will review my goals with them and ask them to do the same with me.  I will give support and receive support in an uplifting, effective, helpful manner.

The interview, featuring Amanda Nguyen, on Tom Bilyeu’s show, IMPACT THEORY, shares incredible insights on accomplishing MASSIVE goals, and gives great examples of many people who have done so.

June 26: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

It is useful for us to all be standing on the shoulders of others.  What it took someone 20 years to learn can be learned by us in days, weeks, or months, IF WE LISTEN.  The work, pain, and lessons it took them so long to experience and learn can be quickly experienced, learned, and acquired by us.  It is a great way to avoid pain, pitfalls, and misery.  This is a great way to overcome ignorance.  This is a great way to acquire knowledge and skills.  This is a great way to become more valuable, by adding value into our lives and the lives of those around us.

We can compress DECADES of experience and wisdom into DAYS by reading a book.

Exponential gains can be accomplished by standing on the shoulders of giants, and by building onto the incredible work of those who have come before us.

First, we have to know exactly what we want.

When we know exactly what we want, we will know what we have to learn and do in order to acquire it.  Focusing on the outcome, while feeling the enjoyment of the journey along the way, is helpful, motivating, and inspiring.  Seeing the thing we want as already acquired and feeling the feelings we will feel when it is already ours will give us the feelings, energy, and state of mind needed to drive and propel us towards it, and it towards us.  Focus is a tool that will attract more of what we want into our lives, if we ONLY focus upon what we DO want more of.

THAT WHICH WE CONSISTENTLY FOCUS UPON WILL EXPAND.

One of the most empowering books I have ever read is, “Tribe of Mentors,” by Timothy Ferriss.  The exposure to new beliefs, ideas, thoughts, ways of life, and things, coupled with the knowledge and wisdom contained therein has proven to be priceless.

When we know what we want we can stand on the shoulders of another to attain it more quickly and effectively.  Others have already done it.  Why re-invent the wheel?  Instead of reinventing the wheel, we can add to it, upgrade it, and share it all with others, making THEIR journey less painful and more enjoyable.  Why not use the wisdom and experience of others  to get to where we want to go more quickly?

Today I will focus on what I want and find someone else who has already acquired it.  I will be intentionally selective when it comes to my own, personal mentors.  I will learn how they did it and adopt any knowledge, wisdom, strength, tips, tools, or tricks I can that I learn from that person in order to get what I want more quickly and effectively.  I will be patient and remember that not everything happens immediately.  I will remember that knowledge without action is dead and useless.

This Interview contains the PERFECT examples of how to stand on the shoulders of others, empowering ourselves for even MORE success, wealth, fulfillment, and happiness than we do now enjoy:

June 25: Ignorance

I despise people who take advantage of others.  One of the main reasons people are able to take advantage of others is because of ignorance.

Ignorance is simply defined as, “The lack of knowledge or information.”  Some of us choose to live in ignorance because we believe our life will be easier and less complicated of we don’t know what it going on.  I know I have been guilty of this.

Have you ever heard the statement, “Ignorance is bliss?”

Have you ever heard someone say, “What they don’t know can’t hurt them?”

It is a way to justify not telling someone the truth that will hurt them.  I have been guilty of doing this to others and others have done it to me.  It is destructive and hurtful, even if the intentions behind this withholding of information are good. Some of us take away the choice from others of knowing the truth, under the pretense and justification that the truth will hurt that person.  In our minds we are able to somehow justify the action, choosing too see ourselves as great for saving someone from pain.  Some of us don’t want others to know the truth because we don’t want to have to deal with the consequence of that person being justifiably  hurt, angry, or sad.

Ignorance is not bliss.  Ignorance is pain.  Ignorance is poverty.  Ignorance sets us up to be taken advantage of.

Ignorance is for those who choose to listen to others and believe everything they say and not ask questions, instead of researching things for themselves and doing the work to learn the truth, and gain wisdom and knowledge to use for the benefit of self and others.  Ignorance is for followers, and for those who wish to bend and conform to the will of others, many times to their detriment, well-meaning though they may be.  I have also learned these lessons from experience, and have been guilty of conforming, and being a follower, instead of having the courage to truly be uniquely and unapologetically me, and stand up for my rights and the rights of others.  Sometimes it has been out of laziness.  Other times, it has been out of the fear that I will be rejected, and alone.  Other times, I just didn’t know any better, YET.

Ignorance is for those who don’t mind dealing with and suffering from hidden agendas and a total lack of transparency.  Ignorance is for those who choose to believe they are avoiding pain that always, eventually, will catch up with them.  Ignorance is for those who don’t mind being taken advantage of because they don’t want to know the truth or deal with it.

Admittedly, I spent my first 40 years choosing ignorance.  It wasn’t until I became tired of the self-inflicted pain of poor choices, and decided to start choosing to learn to improve my beliefs and to make better choices, that my life truly turned around for the better.  After intentionally and actively seeking out the wisdom of others I can honestly say I no longer feel COMPLETELY ignorant.  I do still have a long ways to go, however, and I’m INCREDIBLY excited about where this new journey has led, and where it is continuing to lead me.

Most of my life, I avoided people who I considered to be better than me, smarter than me, richer than me, and more successful than me, in ANY way.  I did this because they made me feel inferior.  These people hurt my ego, and shed light on the dark places I believed I could improve upon, but really didn’t want to.  They naturally, and without intending to, shined a light on what I considered to be my weaknesses, lack, and inadequacies.  After changing my belief system entirely, I now seek those people out and do all I can to learn from them, looking for a common, “Golden thread,” or a common theme or pattern they all follow that has led them to their successes.

WHEN WE KNOW BETTER WE CAN DO BETTER.

I look for things that they do that I can begin to implement into my own life in order to become better, stronger, and wiser.  These things have helped me to heal, and when one of us heals, we ALL heal, collectively.  When we heal ourselves, we set up, prepare, empower, and enable the generations to come to live a better, more fulfilling, more meaningful life, full of service and contribution to others.

One of the best sources of knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration that has taught me how to better my own life is Impact Theory on YouTube.   From this one show, I then was led to other empowering shows that shared the wisdom of others, and pointed to common threads of success in the lives of MANY.

I no longer choose ignorance.  I feel empowered.  I feel stronger.  I feel more aware.  I live a happier life with more meaning and purpose, with challenging goals, clarity, and a daily, morning routine that helps me, “Prime the pump,” and sets me up for success the entire rest of the day.  Each day gets better and better.  Each successful day adds up and turns into a successful week.  Each week adds up and turns into a successful month.  You see what this can lead to-enough successful months will become an incredible and successful life.  There is always going to be room for growth and opportunities for improvement.  There will always be more to learn and practice, if we choose.

What will you choose for yourself in this moment, on this day?

Today I will remember that knowledge is power.  I will do something each day to work to acquire knowledge, and implement it into my life with actionable steps and things I do with that knowledge, in order to make it wisdom.

I will remember that the SOURCE of knowledge I choose is of the utmost importance, and seek out sources with no other agenda than to guide me into an expansive state of WISDOM and LOVE.

One of the best messages I have come across concerning this topic was from Tai Lopez, in his interview with Tom Bilyeu, on his YouTube show, IMPACT THEORY.

What better way to start the day than with a perspective check that helps shift our focus towards something we believe is beneficial and will add to our own personal growth and improvement? Reminders like this have value, especially when reviewed at the start of a day as part of a consistent, daily, morning routine.
Each of these messages are meant to remind us of what we already believe to be important and beneficial in our daily lives, and to aid in the re-focusing process many of us don’t even realize we so desperately need. It has become increasingly more difficult to focus on what truly matters with all the many distractions which are now so prevalent in our lives.
This website was created to remind myself in some small way, each and every day, that Mindset matters, that Character counts, and that FOCUS IS EVERYTHING.
That which we focus upon tends to manifest itself in our lives, more and more. The more intense our focus, the quicker the thing we focus upon manifests.

It is my deepest desire that this website will benefit you as much as it has benefited me.

If this message spoke to you, helped you, or added value to you in any way, please share it on social media. Help spread the light!

June 24: Beware Distractions

We will never ESCAPE our way to a fulfilling, joyful, happy, successful life.

There are so many distractions today!  Television, radio, cell phones, apps, Facebook, Pintrest, YouTube, drugs, alcohol, sex, food, pornography, drama, habitual emotions, self-induced habituated stress and drama, progress, success, and so many other things can become our focus and distract us.  Sometimes we have built up a wall of distractions to protect us from the pain we don’t want to deal with, or feelings of inadequacy.  In so doing, we have less time to learn coping skills.  We have less time to acquire the tools, tips, tricks, practices, and the methods we truly need, in order to alleviate the suffering from our lives and turn ALL of our time, energy, and attention towards what we TRULY DO WANT.  Many times, that wall of distractions becomes the largest obstacle to our healing.  Break down the wall.

This is such great advice from Marisa Peer:  Go deep within and search for that which causes the most suffering.  Confront it regularly.  Feel the feelings that need to be felt, until they don’t need to be felt anymore.  Don’t hold it in and let it build up anymore, until it explodes and hurts everyone around you.  “The feelings that aren’t able to express themselves in the form of tears will cause the other organs in the body to weep.”  Holding in and repressing emotions is unhealthy and causes illness.

The best advice I ever heard about problems, challenges, and pain was from Tony Robbins:  “Kill the monster when it is a baby.”  Sometimes we welcome distractions into our lives or even CREATE distractions on a regular basis in order to NOT have to deal with the problems, challenges, and the emotional pains of life.  Sooner or later those problems, challenges, and all that suffering will grow from a baby monster that is easy to kill, into a huge, unmanageable, vicious, destructive beast that will threaten to destroy us in every way, and cause harm to everyone we love.

We can learn to put the distractions on hold and manage our lives as best we can.

Changing, and creating new habits is difficult, but it is possible.  The best information I have come across on how to do this is from Dr, Bruce Lipton, and Dr. Joe Dispenza.  Check out Dr Dispenza’s Ted Talk, and ANYTHING you can find about these two doctors on YouTube.  Their work about healing and change is life-altering and more empowering than most things I have come across after thousands of hours of research on these two topics.

There will always be others who are willing to help us out of the rut, sink hole, or muddy muck and mire that we are stuck in.  Looking for, seeking out, and finding others who have already experienced what we are going through, and who learned to successfully navigate their ways through it all, can be an enormous help, if we choose to let it be.  There are many support groups that can be an INCREDIBLE healing tool.  I have learned that TOGETHER IS BETTER.  Being part of a community that understands what we are going through is AMAZING.  Feeling UNDERSTOOD is incredible.  Being seen and heard by individuals who hold no judgement is freeing.  Knowing we are not the only one going through difficult situations is useful.

We can choose others as personal mentors in our lives to help us with own our healing and personal growth.  Many times, we can do this without them ever knowing or even meeting them because of the gift of the internet.  Through books, YouTube videos, websites, and following them on social media, and choosing to allow their experience and wisdom positively infect our minds through repetition, can work miracles within us.  Robin Sharma teaches, TO READ A BOOK IS TO MEDITATE WITH THE AUTHOR.  I have found this to be true for me.

What are some of your own personal distractions?  I know I have many that I have to intentionally work on working through every day in order to keep re-focusing on the things that are important to me.  What important things in your life are you unable to spend adequate time on because of your distractions?

Because energy flows where our time and attention goes, it is useful to remember to intentionally focus on the important things instead of the distractions.  Once we have practiced doing this long enough and it has become a habit, life will become easier, more deeply fulfilling, and more meaningful.  Everything will seem to magically fall into its proper place or out of our lives completely, as it should.

One more thing I have found it important to remember is that social media, the entertainment industry, Big Pharma, and advertising agencies have spent TRILLIONS of dollars figuring out the most effective ways to distract us, reprogram our subconscious minds with what serves THEM, and controlling the majority of our time and attention serving THEIR purposes.  We can continue to allow it, or we can get to work on creating ONLY what we want to experience more of in our personal lives.

Today I will think about what distracts me from the important things I want to accomplish.  I will be aware of when and why I let myself become distracted.  I will re-commit to accomplishing what is important to me.

June 23: Team Player

I think it is useful to remember to be humble.  Life will humble us, either way, but we can remember to remain humble.  This empowers us with a proper, empowering perspective, and the belief that we still have things to learn, and room to grow.

To identify as a LEARNER is to set ourselves up for continued success.  Curiosity keeps us humble and learning.

No matter who we are or what we have accomplished, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Together is better.  “We” is better than “me.”  A team of people, constantly engaged in consistent actions in alignment with the group’s goals can be much more effective than just one person, alone.  The energy projected by a GROUP is EXPONENTIALLY more powerful in the creation process than one.

Sometimes we may forget this and be tempted to let our ego take control of the steering wheel in life and think, “I can do a much better job than this person.  I am better and more effective at this job and pretty much anything else in life than any of these people.”  We have all worked with people who get together and talk about others and their failures for the simple reason that it makes them feel even better about how awesome, accomplished, and advanced they are.  Some of these people even do things to sabotage others around them so that others will look bad, with the end goal in mind of outshining the very ones they are sabotaging.

At this point, such people then think they are outshining those around them.  I’ve been guilty of doing this in the past, myself, and strive every day not to be that man ever again.

This is an indication that there are feelings of inadequacy, and that we are, “not enough,” exactly as we are.  The belief, NO JUDGMENT, NO CRITICISM, MY BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH AND I AM PERFECT EXACTLY AS I AM-AND I CAN GET EVEN BETTER, is a useful belief to repeat daily until the feelings of inadequacy are gone.  Self Acceptance is LIFE-CHANGING, and through this practice, the need for validation and acceptance from OTHERS disappears from our lives entirely.

Another great and empowering mantra to repeat daily from a world-renowned therapist that has proven effective for MILLIONS is:

EVERY DAY AND IN EVERY WAY I AM GETTING BETTER AND BETTER.

Comparisons are a recipe for disaster.  It is a great way to be hated and despised.  It is a great way to create and foster an environment of resentment, jealousy, hatred, and maliciousness.  It is a great way to fail, consistently, impeding personal growth and progression, while everyone around you surpasses THEIR OWN best, being busied with practicing besting THEIR best, rather than comparing THEIR best to YOUR worst, in order to feed an insatiable ego.

Don’t be the person who blows out every one else’s candle around them just to APPEAR to shine more brightly than others.

It is important to strive to be our very best, every single day.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with comparing ourselves to yesterday’s version of ourselves, but when we compare ourselves to others, we set ourselves up for failure by:

  • Thinking we are better than everyone else and alienating everyone and destroying the possibilities of adding value to a team.
  • Thinking we are better than everyone else, alienating everyone, destroying trust and respect, thereby creating a situation in which we  HAVE to eventually do everything alone.
  • Thinking we are so much better than everyone else that we forget to compare ourselves to yesterday’s version of our self and miss out on opportunity for personal growth, which makes us weaker, not better.
  • Thinking we are so much better than others that we end up missing out on opportunities to really connect and bond and network with others and enjoy a more fulfilling, deeply meaningful, purpose-filled life.

We become more valuable not only by adding value to ourselves, but by adding value to others, as well.

Today I will remember to be a team player and seek to add value to other’s lives.  TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK.

June 22: Visions and Dreams

”If you don’t know where you want to be in 5 years, you are already there.” – Tony Robbins

A man or a woman without visions and dreams will revert back to who he or she used to be. We are continuously either progressing or regressing, creating ourselves and growing, or becoming more complacent and shrinking back into what and who we used to be.

Personal growth and success or the lack thereof-either way we are creating everything that is our reality.  We ALWAYS have options.  We ALWAYS have choices.

Once we get close to accomplishing what we want to, it is important to remember to already have visions and dreams of further progression, personal growth, and personal success, or we will most likely become comfortable, then complacent, and then regress.

It is okay to rest, just don’t unravel.

BOUNCE, but DON’T BREAK!

The beauty of being able to visualize a better existence and a better future is that it is a great tool to use as a motivator when we are tired, and when we want to quit.  When we remember we don’t just want BETTER for ourselves, but also for those we love, it keeps us going.  It keeps us on track.  Many times, I have wanted to give up, or simply do less, but the thought of letting down someone I love has kept me going strong, even when I felt weak.

Reminder to self:  Keep going.  Keep doing what you are doing.  You’ve got this!

Today I will check my visions and dreams and ensure in my own mind that they are big enough, and that I am consistently and regularly doing the things that will ensure that I am on my way to accomplishing them.  I will remember:

Knowledge and wisdom without action and execution are worthless and useless.  To BECOME more as a human I must DO more.  To BECOME better, I must DO better.  I am capable of ANYTHING.

I accept that I am perfect, exactly as I am, and that as a human, I can do and be even more.  I Will remember:

I CAN BE BOTH A MASTERPIECE AND A WORK IN PROGRESS.

June 21: All Things Are Temporary

Nothing lasts forever.  All things are temporary.  This is especially helpful to remember when nothing seems to be going our way or when we are having a particularly bad day.  Remembering that nothing lasts forever is particularly helpful when we are going through extremely difficult, challenging, or painful experiences.

This is also true of the good times, as well.  Nothing lasts, though it is important to remember that each day is an opportunity to do our best to make things better.

The only thing we can control is our own “self” and how we react to and interact with everything around us.

We choose our outcomes.  Our thoughts, words, and actions dictate the results in our lives, AND WE CAN CONSTANTLY BE UPGRADING HIW WE REACT TO AND INTERACT WITH EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.  We are responsible for ALL of it.  We earn everything that comes into our lives.  The consequences we live with every day are a direct result of the thoughts, words, and actions we have (or have not) been consistently thinking, speaking, and doing, and how we choose to react to and interact with everything and everyone.

We can eat an apple every day, or a bag full of candy.  We can go on a walk or to the gym every day, or sit in front of the television and do nothing.  Our thoughts are the same way:  We can choose to fill our heads with healing, empowering, highly vibrational, energetic thoughts, or we can think of nothing.  We become what we think about.

It is the little things that matter most.  Practiced repeatedly, the little things pick up momentum, accumulate, and become bigger things.  CONSISTENCY COMPOUNDS.  Whoever said the small things don’t matter has never seen a match start a wildfire, or spent a night in a tent with a mosquito.

Nothing lasts forever.  To make each moment matter, we can treat every moment as though it could be our last and make the most of each moment that passes.  Enjoyment and gratitude for even the most difficult of moments, and searching for the lesson, an empowering meaning, or purpose in all of them, is up to us.

Today I will remember that all things are temporary and I will work hard to be the best version of myself I can be, enjoying each moment throughout the day as a gift, regardless of how things are going.

Tom Bilyeu interviewed Tim Storey on his YouTube show, Impact Theory.  Tim is an excellent example of someone who realized that nothing lasts forever, and how to optimize the enjoyment and our effectiveness in creating enjoyment, throughout this life journey.

June 20: ACCUMULATING ABUNDANCE

Each and every day is a new opportunity to accumulate.

MASS ACCUMULATION OF ANYTHING COMES FROM CONTINUOUS, CONSISTENT MOMENTUM.

Consistency creates confidence, competence, and then a conversion and a convergence of circumstances.  WE are the alchemists of our own lives.

What is most important to YOU to accumulate every day?  Is it money?  Fulfillment?  Love?  Self-Acceptance?  Self-APPRECIATION?  A better set of relationships?  A more meaningful love life?  A new home?  A better life?

Accumulation and abundance does not come when we create from the past.  My friend Jason archer teaches a tool I absolutely LOVE, that works INCREDIBLY well.  He says, REMEMBER YOUR FUTURE.  The idea is to envision and visualize the EXACT, desired future you want, IN DETAIL, and create from THAT place.

When we choose to expand into a higher vision of self expression and self actualization, rather than creating from the past, miracles begin to happen in our lives.

I first heard about this concept from a man they used to call, THE MILLIONAIRE-MAKER, John Earl Shoaff, who was actually the mentor of the incredible Jim Rohn!  I highly recommend watching Earl Shoaff’s only YouTube recording.

When we are stuck in thoughts of the past, we cannot create something NEW.  We simply repeat the past.  Jason Archer has also said, ANYTIME WE BOND OUR PRESENT TO OUR PAST, WE CANNOT CREATE FROM OUR FUTURE.  I love that, and I have found this to be true in my own life, where I was STUCK in VICTIM MODE, until my early 40’s, incapable of creating something more abundant and expansive, simply because I was CAUGHT IN THE WEB OF THOUGHTS OF THE PAST.

Alan Watts teaches that a boat leaves behind itself a wake, that signifies where the boat has been in the water. Your body and this life is the boat and you are the captain of the ship-you are the DRIVER of that boat. The wake is your past, and it DOES NOT DETERMINE where you are going. Give no thought to the past. Learn from it and let it go-do not dwell there. REMEMBER YOUR FUTURE that you are busy creating, each and every day.

Our thoughts create our feelings that instantly turn into a cascade of chemicals and hormones, which then trigger a series of similar thought, words, actions, circumstances, and events, that are a DIRECT RESULT of what we are thinking., perpetuating that which we are focusing on.  Our thoughts create our emotions, which emit magnetic energy constantly discharging from us, emitting and transmitting, then attracting similarly magnetically charged people, places, things, circumstances, and situations back to us.  WE ARE CREATORS.

If we consistently work towards what we want, and choose to focus on it daily, that thing will be attracted into our lives more and more.  It will become easier and easier to acquire it.  The thing we focus on and think about daily will accumulate an energetic momentum.  We will do the work required to earn it, and will continuously project our reality into existence from WITHIN.  EVERYTHING is an inside job.

WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.

THAT WHICH WE CONSISTENTLY FOCUS ON, EXPANDS.

I think it is important to be very careful about what it is we are accumulating.  If we have no aim at all, no goal to work towards, we are not going to be in a creative state.  We will no longer be focused on trying, improving, or progressing.  Progression equals happiness, so it can be vitally important we have a target to aim at.

IF WE DON’T DO THE WORK, WE WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE THE REWARD.

What are you working on consistently and daily?  What is it you are working towards accumulating?  What target are you aiming at?  What goals have you set in place for yourself and your own, personal life to work towards?

IF WE AIM AT NOTHING, WE WILL HIT IT EVERY TIME.

Today I will make sure I am consistently working for and creating the outcomes I want in my life.

Some of the most helpful content I have come across about goals in all of my years of research is a video on YouTube, by earl Nightingale, entitled:  The Strangest Secret.  I listen to it almost daily, and have for months.  You’ll see why, if you try it out for just 30 days.

goodinthehead is also on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.  The goodinthehead Podcast can be found on YouTube.  Follow me there, as well, for daily messages, inspiration, motivation, and reminders.  Please pay it forward, and share this, and ANY message, which may empower someone you love or may care about.  It is through adding value to others by sharing and spreading wisdom, that we become more valuable as individuals, and collectively, as a whole, we all become wiser.

Remember:  Mindset matters.  Character counts.  That which we choose to consistently focus on is what EXPANDS in our lives.  WE CREATE our personal realities.
