December 10: Do Our Genes Define Us?

Our genetic predispositions do not define us!  Because we are in control of our internal environments, and because of the science behind epigenetics, we can literally change our own destinies.  We must, however, be educated and intentional.  We cannot remain in the dark.  We cannot continue to choose to be naive or ignorant.

IGNORANCE IS NOT BLISS.

IGNORANCE IS PAIN.

We live in the information age where knowledge of literally anything is at our fingertips, and ignorance is now a choice.  We can’t just wonder through life with our fingers crossed, hoping for the best, and expecting everything to change for us.  We must change, before things will change for us.  We must become better before things will get better for us.

In a discussion featuring Sadvi Bhagawati Saraswati and Dr. Bruce Lipton, it is scientifically explained just how we are actually in charge of our genes, and how they are not in charge of us, unless we allow them to be.  To listen to this amazingly powerful and useful information, type SELF OVER SITUATION into the YouTube search engine.

Self-Empowerment is the most useful power we can learn to use.  When we decide to empower ourselves, we choose to be wise, and learn all we can from those who have already accomplished, experimented with, and experienced all that we wish to.

We must be intentional.  We must be consistent.  We must replace our feelings and situations of comfort and ease with habitual, repetitive, consistent, daily routines, that are designed to benefit, strengthen, and help us in the highest degree possible, to learn, grow, evolve, expand, and optimize our life experiences in every way.  By so doing, ironically, we will enjoy a higher level of comfort and ease.

WE ARE THE CULMINATION OF THE CONTENT WE CHOOSE TO CONSISTENTLY CONSUME AND THE PEOPLE WE SPEND THE MOST TIME WITH.

WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.

If we want better health, we must take the steps and do the work to learn how to make it better.  Nobody can do our push-ups for us.  The best information I have come across on creating a healthier lifestyle has come from the show HEALTH THEORY, by Tom Bilyeu.  Just type in Health Theory into YouTube’s search and enjoy.

If we want wisdom, we must read, ask questions, expose ourselves to new experiences, and be willing to fail and learn and fail again.  We must not be afraid of failure or of looking stupid.  We must never quit.  Better to prepare now and fortify our minds for what is inevitably to come so that when the storms of life hit, we are ready for them.  The best content I have come across to execute upon these life practices, and create the most empowering habits possible, have come from Tom Bilyeu and all of his incredible guests on his YouTube show, IMPACT THEORY.  Each of them provide a road map to various experiences of greatness.

If we want better relationships, the information is now out there, given by MANY people who have succeeded in doing the work to create excellent , fulfilling, meaningful relationships.  If we want better relationships, we must learn to do all that is necessary to create, attract, cultivate, and enjoy them.  We must do the work to enjoy the results.  We will need to learn how to communicate more effectively and fairly, with more empathy, understanding, kindness, patience, compassion, and love, and we will need to practice it at all times, not just when we feel like it.  We will have to put the time into the relationships we want to strengthen in order to enjoy the benefits.  If we don’t continuously cultivate a relationship, it will die.

EVERY MOMENT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE ALL WE HAVE PREVIOUSLY LEARNED.

“In order for our lives to get better, WE must become better.  Don’t wish for an easier winter.  Wish for more strength and endurance and wisdom.”

-Jim Rohn

WE are in control of our thoughts and FOCUS.  The content we allow into our minds is what we will focus on, and what we focus on determines the quality of our lives.  We must stand guard at the gates of our minds.  That which we focus upon will continuously manifest itself in our lives more and more.

We are all extensions of Source Energy, and as such, EVERYTHING WE CHOOSE TO FOCUS UPON CONSISTENTLY WILL BECOME OUR TRUTH.

Today I will look at my daily routine and my habits that have created the internal environment in my mind and produced the external, daily life that I live.  I will note the routines or habits that are not helping to benefit me or those around me to the highest degree possible.  I will make the necessary changes and improvements, daily, until the routines and habit I have created have become a perfect set of habits FOR ME.  I will practice that which is difficult until it becomes easy.  I will tackle the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable.

This is the most amazing, enlightening, interesting interview I have heard to date about epigenetics, breaking free of the Matrix, Creation, and Belief Changing:

December 9: Pillars

In different places in the world, they have to build homes on pillars, up off of the ground, because at certain times of the year, there is melting snow and a high possibility of flooding.  These pillars have to be strong.  They have to be made well.  Some people put wood under their homes to hold up the houses.  It works for a while, then eventually, the pillars rot and have to be replaced.  Other people put concrete pillars under their homes.  The concrete lasts much longer.

The Greeks built pillars to hold up the roofs of their temples centuries ago, and they STILL stand strong.

Can you imagine living in such a place and placing your home on only one pillar?  Over time, the house would sag and sink around the pillar.  The home would quickly be destroyed.  Two pillars?  It’s better than only one pillar, but still, over time, will be ineffective.  The people who have lived in such places have learned through experience that it is most helpful to have MANY pillars placed throughout the areas underneath their homes, to evenly distribute the weight, to properly support their home, and to keep the home up high enough to make sure it is never damaged or ruined.

We can liken these 7 areas of our lives to pillars that help us have a more balanced, valuable, beneficial, and enduring existence.

Adding to, or growing in these areas in our lives, adds to the pleasure, enjoyment, and abundance we experience in our lives.

  1. Spirituality
  2. Financial Independence
  3. Physical Health and Well-being
  4. Emotional Fortitude and Stability
  5. Educational Accomplishments
  6. Personal Relationships
  7. Social Relationships

We get out of life what we are willing to work hard at putting in to it.  That which we appreciate, APPRECIATES.  That which we focus on, intensely and consistently, tends to manifest itself, more and more prevalently, in our lives.

When we put work into each of these areas of our lives, we make sure the pillars are sturdy.  We make sure they are made of strong, lasting materials.  As we improve, up-level, and upgrade ourselves in these areas, through learning, implementation, and practicing new skills, it is like having a contractor come to our home and replace our few, wooden pillars, with many, sturdy, long-lasting, cement pillars.  We are able to be safe during floods, or the difficult, challenging times, which will surely come our way.  We are better equipped and more prepared to ground ourselves, stay calm, handle stress effectively, navigate extreme difficulties with ease, and think well under the pressures of life, instead of quickly becoming overwhelmed, over-acting and scrambling to survive.

Our lives are what we make them.  We are in charge of creating our internal environment, which then becomes the external environments in which we live.  Our lives are 100% OUR responsibility.  It is not the job of others to save us.  We must learn to save ourselves.

We get out of life as much as we are willing to put in to it.  The smarter we work, the better we feel,  and the more we prepare and upgrade EVERY aspect of our lives, the greater the benefits and enjoyment.

The more difficult the struggle, the greater the reward.

We could go through this life with our fingers crossed and hoping for the best, hoping someone will see our needs and be kind enough to meet them so we won’t have to, or we could choose to intentionally create the life we want.  WE MUST BE INTENTIONAL.  We must learn to take care of ourselves and stop relying upon, and expecting others, to do for us what we can learn to do for ourselves.

Our lives, our futures, and our well-being is OUR responsibility. It is no one else’s.  No one else is to blame for our failures or our successes.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will own my power.  I will take charge of my mind, my thoughts, and my life.  I will decide how to work on my pillars in each of the 7 areas above for my own benefit, knowing that by doing so I will not only improve my own life, but the lives of everyone around me.  I will build my beautiful home on a solid, strong, set of pillars, keeping me and the ones I love safe during the floods of life.

December 8: Limitless Growth and Balance In All Areas of Life

In our lives, when balance and alignment through a state of FLOW is achieved, stress and pain are alleviated from the body and mind.  Healing takes place.  Life improves.  We are able to think better, feel better, and react better, in every situation.  Things begin to methodically and magically fall into place.  The stars seem to align, and everything seems right with the world.  We are able to make better choices.

As we continuously and consistently work towards a healthy balance in ALL areas of our lives, all aspects of our lives continuously and consistently improve.  We project outward what we create and attract WITHIN.

The beauty of working hard to achieve discipline in one area of our lives is this: discipline bleeds over into the fabric of the other parts of our lives.

These are the areas of life which, if balance is achieved, I believe our lives will improve immeasurably:

  1. Spirituality
  2. Financial Independence
  3. Physical Health and Well-being
  4. Emotional Fortitude and Stability
  5. Educational Accomplishments
  6. Personal Relationships
  7. Social Relationships and Connections

It has been stated that AGING IS THE AGGRESSIVE PURSUIT OF COMFORT.  The trick is to ALWAYS KEEP MOVING, GROWING, EXPANDING, and PROGRESSING.

If we consistently do something small and easy, each and every day, continual progress and improvement will be the result.  Because of THE COMPOUND EFFECT, exponential growth is, eventually, the natural outcome.

After a year’s time, of consistently working towards improving in all these areas of life, we will look back without any regrets.  Instead, we will look back with pride, confidence, and a huge feeling of accomplishment, because of all the effort it took, time we spent, actions we took, and integrity with which we did it all.  Imagine how we will feel after 10 years!

When we have goals and a proper, planned out daily routine which will help us accomplish those goals, we are consistently progressing, and will consistently become happier and feel more fulfilled.  Because of this we will be more capable and apt to add value to our lives, and to the lives of those around us.

Today I will review my list of goals and ask myself:  Is what I am consistently doing going to help me achieve balance in all areas of my life and push me towards continuous progression and improvement?  If I need to alter or improve my goals in any way, I will do that today, and ensure that my own, personal, easy-to-accomplish, daily routine will benefit me in the ways I want it to, and will eventually help me to accomplish my dreams.

December 7: The Disconnect: Bridging the gap between thought and action

We all are smart enough to know what is good for us and what isn’t.  The more we experience the contrasting results of our actions, the more we learn and the more we know because of the instant and continuous feedback loops.  With this wisdom, we are empowered to improve ourselves and better the lives of those around us.

TO KNOW, BUT NOT TO DO, IS NOT TO KNOW.

Fore some reason, even though we have knowledge and wisdom already acquired, and we can see the possible benefits of doing things differently, we still choose not to.  What is the problem?  Why is there such a disconnect between what we know and what we do?  I would like to submit the idea that it is possible that we are simply living on automatic mode from the subconscious mind, from which we create 95% of the time, and UNTIL WE LEARN TO REPROGRAM OUR SUBCONSCIOUS BELIEFS, nothing will change for us.

Personal success isn’t about what we know, but WHAT WE HABITUALLY DO, every single day.

“Success isn’t for sale.  Success is for RENT, and the rent is due EVERY DAY.” -Darren Hardy.  Publisher of SUCCESS Magazine, Author of THE COMPOUND EFFECT.

CONSISTENCY IS KEY.

Have you ever seen an out of shape, fat, unhealthy nutritionist or doctor giving nutritional advice to anyone?  While their efforts and intent are admirable, wouldn’t you have more confidence in someone who actually practices what they preach?

I believe the answer lies in not just knowing, but more importantly, in doing.

How do we get to the point of taking action?

I believe it all starts in the mind.  That which we focus on we create, we attract, we manifest, and we project.  That which we focus on and desire requires us to act in the acquisition of that thing.

Once it is created inside, it is then ready to be manifested and projected into reality.  AS WITHIN, SO WITHOUT.

There are MANY ways to begin, but some of the most helpful, effective, and inspiring content I have come across, so far, has been from listening to the book, THE COMPOUND EFFECT, by Darren Hardy.  I found it on YouTube, for free.  If you decide to check it out, I highly recommend taking notes.  It is a guide to reprogramming the mind and body, through habit recreation, which naturally and easily recreates every correlating outcome.

Other books I highly recommend listening to and taking notes that help to bridge the gap between thought and action:

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg, Atomic Habits by James Clear, 7 Strategies for Wealth and Happiness by Jim Rohn, and High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard.

Today’s challenge to myself:  Today I will do one thing, take just one action, that will improve my life in some way or help me achieve a goal that I have made.

December 6: The Games People Play

Life is full of games.  Some of the games we play are fun and entertaining.  They make us laugh.  They are enjoyable.  They bring us closer together and create long-lasting bonds and friendships that yield deeper connections.  We can look at this entire life as a game.

There are some games that people play, however, which are destructive and dangerous.  They are the games that include manipulation, controlling behaviors, guilt, stress, chaos, drama, and uncomfortable feelings and situations, all driven by nefarious agendas. It is important that we recognize these games for what they are as quickly as we can, and decide before they are even introduced to us what role we will choose to play in these games, if any role at all.  It is wise to learn about boundaries which will protect us and the ones we love in this life and put these boundaries into place immediately, every chance we get, and with every person we are introduced to.  It is entirely up to us to protect ourselves and the people we love.

Ignorance is not bliss.  Ignorance is PAIN.

A GREAT book about boundaries, what they are, how they are valuable , and how to use them, is, THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO, by Melody Beattie.  It has a daily paragraph to read, and over time, and with consistent repetition, can be one of the most useful tools available.  I have profited greatly through years of reading these daily messages.  In fact, THAT is the book that inspired me to create MY DAILY PERSPECTIVE SHIFT.

Sometimes, the people playing these games don’t even realize they are doing it.  It was what they were taught when they were younger, or a survival behavior, and this way of behaving is all they have known, and has become a habit.  Many times, these people have habituated destructive behaviors that kept them feeling strong and safe when they were younger, and they may have the fear that if they stop these destructive behaviors they might get hurt again.  Sometimes, people are hurting, and they simply want to hurt others.  They believe that if they can’t be happy, nobody else should be, either.  Yet others have malicious intent.  They know exactly what they are doing.  They control the emotions of others, not yet having learned how to focus on and control their own emotions, and use games as a manipulation tactic, and control others to get what they want, through games and a lack of transparency.  This makes them feel powerful and in control, but substantially diminishes their ability to connect with a higher version of themselves or with others.

It is entirely up to us to protect ourselves and the people we love.  Ignorance is not bliss.  Ignorance is PAIN.

Again I must mention it.  The most helpful information I have come across, so far, pertaining to healthy boundaries, is Melody Beattie’s book, THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO.  It has a short paragraph for each day of the year, meant to be read as part of a daily routine, to help the reader consistently refocus on the setting, and keeping, of healthy, effective, useful, empowering boundaries.  I began reading from this book in 2014.  It has empowered me with the tools I have needed all along, to  completely alter the trajectory and course of my life for the better.

There are meanings behind every word out of our mouths, and the mouths of others.  Sometimes the same words have completely different meanings, depending upon the experiences of life each of us have been through.  The truth of one may not necessarily be the truth of another, because of this difference in experiences and intentions.

The words we use and hear are usually dependant upon the outward projection of our inner world, beliefs, perceptions, and habitual thoughts.  Some people are great at faking it, pretending, and acting out a reality in the outer world that doesn’t mirror, or correctly and accurately portray, their inner world.  We all do this to a certain degree, usually thinking or believing this will protect us and the ones we love.  When we choose not to live in alignment with what and who we are, it causes dis-ease within us.  This is when trust gets broken.  Confidence wanes.  Enjoyment and contentment slowly dissipate.

Repressed emotions and the withholding of truth caused energetic blockages within the chakra centers of our bodies, eventually manifesting as physical pain.  We are ENERGY, and when we get stuck, it hurts.

Some people have hidden agendas.  They have a desire to get something from us, and use trickery and games to get it.  It is useful to practice recognizing these things for what they are, and learn from the opportunity of the lessons created for us by exposure to these experiences.  There is value that comes from others testing our boundaries, and through testing the boundaries of others.  The more we practice the better we get!

We can choose to be thankful for these people that play games and try to manipulate and control us, for they remind us of the important things.  Being tested is beneficial.  The more we are around people with hidden agendas, the better we will get at recognizing the games, and deciding if it is something we want to be a part of or not.  We don’t have to participate or play in any games if we don’t want to.  It is incredibly easy to simply walk away and not play.

I respect those who are transparent, open in their communication, and honest.  I know where I stand with these people.  They choose to be vulnerable, having learned about the great amount of strength that comes with vulnerability, openness, and radical honesty. When there is a problem, they choose to shine a spotlight on it, and ask for help in coming up with solutions to the problem, rather than hiding the problem, and caring more about how they look or seem to others, or how they may be perceived.  I believe it is more important to BE something, than it is to APPEAR TO BE something, whatever that something is, be it good, smart, capable, strong, intelligent, spiritual, or happy.

Consistency creates confidence.  Practicing these habits of transparency, openness, and honesty isn’t always easy, at first, but they make daily life more enjoyable, fulfilling, and effectively efficient.  Time is the one thing we can’t get more of.  We must spend it wisely.

We can choose to be aware of the games at work, home, and in life, where there are power plays, and those who wish to control us.  Some people get their feelings of importance when they are able to elicit ANY response from us.  Sometimes these people will stir the pot with a question or a statement they already know will get us fired up, frustrated, or focused on something that will make us progressively more angry as the day goes on.  They feel like they are able to control our emotions, and in fact, we are choosing to allow them to have that power when this happens.  Some people are unable to control their own emotions, and receive a sense of control through controlling the emotions of others.

How quickly are we able to take deep breaths, re-focus on what we want to be focusing on, and get back to our emotional baseline?  This is a skill we can learn more about and practice, becoming better and better at.  Would this skill benefit you?  I know it has been beneficial for me.

The more I practice not letting others alter or change my focus, while trying to be in control of my thoughts and emotions, the easier it becomes and the more beneficial it is.  When we don’t react, or over-react, to people trying to play games with us or control us in some way, consistently, we send a message, loud and clear, that we don’t play those games, and we will not be controlled.  Nothing is more frustrating to a person who wants to control us in some way than when they find out that they just can’t.  We are too smart for that.  We are too strong for that.  In essence, we win the game they play without even playing.  Try it out!  Practice it.  As we become more and more consistent about what we intentionally allow into our minds, hearts, and lives, we frustrate the plans of those who would control us, and attract a different type of crowd, or tribe, into our lives.  Our vibe attracts our tribe.

We tend to get more of what we choose to accept and tolerate.  The magic of this is that we make our own rules.  We are in control of ourselves and what we think about and focus on.  We are on control of what we choose to react and respond to and how, if, or when, we choose to react.  We are in control of the definitions and meanings we assign to EVERYTHING.  As we practice, and become great at these things, and focus on controlling only that which we can control, everything else in our lives tends to magically fall into place where it belongs, or it falls out of our lives completely.  What we focus on, WE FEED.  What we ignore, WE STARVE.

When we practice self-love, self-appreciation, and self-acceptance, in such a way that we no longer have the need for love, appreciation, or acceptance from OTHERS, we win at the Game of Life MUCH more often.  When we fill the void we perceive to be within us OURSELVES, we no longer have the need to seek without for ANYTHING to fill the void we perceive to exist within us.  The truth is, THERE IS NO VOID-only the belief of something missing that has been programmed into us from a young age that are meant to manipulate us into feeling incomplete, or less than.  Once we feel this way, and believe we can fill a void with a product, we are easily manipulated into becoming a consumer, and will part with ANY amount of money, time, or energy , just for temporary relief from the pain of this belief.

When we learn we can create our OWN rules and our OWN life, along with the outcomes and results WE desire, we are no longer so easily manipulated and controlled by OTHERS.  This all started with an awakening (usually produced through painful experiences,) heightened self-awareness, and a progressive practice which consists of improving our personal skills in the areas of self-love, self-appreciation, and self-acceptance, lasting the entire rest of our lives.

Today I will be mindful of the games being played in my life and in the lives of others.  I will decide which games I want to play and which games I don’t want to play, or if I want to play at all.  I will practice being consistent.

I will buy THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO, by Melody Beattie, and read the daily passage, so I can up-level my enjoyment in life through a gradual, consistent awakening, awareness, and improvement in boundary implementation  that will protect me and others from the games people play.

Melody Beattie’s story is AMAZING.  All she went through taught her what she would need to know to help and empower SO MANY of us.  I invite you to listen to some of her story here:

Before 2014 I spent 15 years in a deep, dark, unmanageable depression, during which I wanted to die, every day.  I attempted suicide multiple times, but thankfully never could actually pull the trigger all the way, take quite enough pills, or cut just deeply enough.

My three sons, and the thought of the legacy I would leave for them to live in the dark shadow of, kept me from this horrible act.  They are literally the reason I am still alive today to enjoy the life I had to learn how to work so very hard to create.
This creation, I realize now, is a life-long process.  I am so grateful I had big enough reasons to push through those truly dark times, and have made it my life mission to reach as many as I can with this message:
You are not alone.  You are perfect the way you are and you can do and be more.  You, no matter who you are or what you have done so far, are not so different from everyone else that you cannot connect in some meaningful, valuable, way. Anything you want is available to you, once you learn how to better access the greatness within you
Bad times don’t last.

December 5: Don’t Complain-CONTRIBUTE!

What we focus on matters a great deal.  What and how we contribute depends upon what we focus on.

When I made it a habit to practice  gratitude each morning, by repeatedly thinking about every, possible thing I was thankful for each morning, every time I crawled out of bed and climbed into the shower, my days began to change and improve.  I became a more positive person.  It became natural and easy for me (after months of implementing this habit) to see the good and beauty in my day, in my life, and in my world.

Practicing gratitude first thing in the morning has primed my brain for success and enjoyment for the entire rest of the day.  It provides and creates momentum in a great direction.

GRATITUDE IS A MAGNET FOR MIRACLES.

The RAS is programmed to seek out more of what we think about and focus on the most.  ONLY FOCUSING ON WHAT DO WE WANT MORE OF IS THE WAY TO GET IT.  Distractions take the creative energy necessary to project and manifest what we want.  Beware distractions.  FEED YOUR FOCUS.  STARVE YOUR DISTRACTIONS.

This habitual gratitude practice I adopted was like installing a filter between the world and my mind which only allowed positivity, joy, strength, healing energy, love, kindness, acceptance, empathy, and abundance of every kind, into my mind.  The content I allowed into my mind changed and improved.  I, in turn, changed and improved.  So, therefore, did my life because WE ARE THE PROJECTORS OF OUR PERSONAL REALITIES.  As within, so without.  The things I began to attract into my life, and emit outward onto the canvas of my personal life, changed and improved.  I no longer chose to focus on the same old things.  Instead of complaining, I began to contribute.

I began to contribute to my own personal learning, growing, improving, and expansion.  I began to contribute to my relationship with my wife in more communicative and expanded ways.  I tried new things I learned about from others who were successful at the things I wanted to be successful at.  Through watching videos, reading books, listening to podcasts, and having discussions with those who were successful and happy in their relationships, I began to learn how to get better at these things.

As I began to contribute to bettering my financial situation, I realized I had options and choices and that I could be in control of my future and my destiny, if I chose to be in control.  I began to contribute more as a father and I began a journey with my sons that would last a lifetime, and that would have a lasting impact with positive results on not just them, but everyone in their lives as well.

I began to contribute more towards my friendships, connections, and every interaction, which, in turn, began to flourish and grow.  All of these things were like a garden which was getting more attention.  I picked the weeds, I watered the plants, and the fruit began to come in more and more abundantly.

I no longer complained or came up with excuses as to why my life was the way it was.  I no longer chose to be a victim and began to become a VICTOR.  I began each day with intent.  I started each day with gratitude and each day became better and better.  This ONE habitual practice empowered me during the first part of my day.  It was a way to stack the odds in my favor for the entire rest of the day, and it really worked!

COMPLAINERS ARE VICTIMS.  CONTRIBUTORS ARE CREATORS.

I have found that the most efficient way to become a contributor is to practice gratitude.

“SOMETIMES THE BEST WAY TO LOVE SOMEONE, AND THE MOST HELP YOU CAN GIVE, IS TO LEAVE THEM ALONE OR EMPOWER THEM TO HELP THEMSELVES.” -NEALE DONALD WALSCH

I stopped complaining and I started contributing.  It has worked miracles in my life, and it can do the same for anyone else, as well.  Isn’t it at least worth a try?  It takes repetition and consistency to create a habit.  Visualizing the things we are grateful for is easy and fun, and immediately begins attracting that which we are visualizing into our lives.  The magic and the science behind it is real.

My challenge to everyone is this:  Try gratitude out for yourself for just one month, each and every day, and see what it does for you.  First thing, each morning, create a list of everything there is in your own, personal life to be grateful for.  It doesn’t need to be a written list, it can be a mental list.  It can be completed in the mind as you prepare for your day.  Set a reminder on your phone, RIGHT NOW, and see if magic isn’t immediately introduced to your life.

Change your focus=Change your mind=Change your life.

Today, if I haven’t already, I will make gratitude the first thing on my list of things to do, or add it to my daily routine.

December 3: The Information Age

We are currently living in the Information Age.  Anything we want to learn about, see, hear, research, or share with others, is only seconds away, and available to us at any moment that we so choose.  It is amazing!  It is a blessing that is an opportunity to have a MASSIVE impact upon our lives, depending on what we choose to focus on.  That which we choose to focus on, is what we get more of.  That which we focus on expands.  More of it is attracted to us.  What we focus on, we FEED.  What we pay attention to, we ENERGIZE.  What will YOU focus on and pay attention to today?

To live in the Information Age in ignorance is a choice.” -Dr. Joe Dispenza

We can expose ourselves to far too much, or we can expose ourselves to far too little.  The choice is ours.  The content we allow to occupy our minds each day, and what we choose to focus on, will absolutely determine our moods and alter the outcome of how our day goes.  Enough of the same or similar content, for days in a row, will become our main focus in our lives.  What we focus on will determine the quality of our thoughts, habits, and our lives.  CONTENT MATTERS.  We can choose to learn to constantly practice self-control, keep watch at the gates of our minds, and only allow that which will drive us, inspire us, and motivate us to accomplish the things in our lives which will make our lives even more meaningful, beautiful, and exactly as we want them.  WE are in control of our minds, thoughts and focus.  WE are in control of who and what we become.  WE are co-creators and co-conspirators with the Universe.

WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.

This life is an experiment in finding what works best for each of us as human individuals, in using the body and mind as tools to remember and rediscover WHAT we are, as we work on upgrading the WHO we identify as while in this life experience.

Each day is a wonderful new opportunity to create ourselves into someone better than we were yesterday.
WE ARE CREATORS.

Do we have the empowering belief, “My life is in my hands,” or the negative, disempowering, repetitious thought that, “I can’t control anything?”

“I am the master of my fate.  I am the captain of my soul.”

-William Ernest Henley

It is through obtaining the right information, and becoming a better version of ourselves each day because of that information we are choosing to focus on, that we are able to more effectively help ourselves and others.  As we become more valuable we are able to add more value, and the more value we add to the lives of others, the more valuable we become.

Today I will remember to only allow into my mind the information which will help me think about, and focus on, that which will help and empower me to accomplish my detailed, written goals, and do my best to create the EXACT life with the EXACT results I want for myself and others.

December 2: Looking Good vs. Being Good

I spent most of my earlier life wanting to look good.  I was raised to believe this was extremely important.  I was also taught to be good, but the way my young mind perceived things back then, the main take-away lesson was that looking good was the most important thing.  My young mind told me I had to be perfect, which was always impossible, so since I couldn’t be perfect, I felt I had to act and look like I was.  It was a low-vibrational, inauthentic way to live that resulted in unhappiness.  Later, I found out that continuous progress, and the pursuit of it, would ALWAYS suffice, and that perfection wasn’t ever supposed to be the goal.  Later, I would learn that our very best is good enough, and that when we consistently do our best, our best consistently gets better.

I heard, many times, “The way you dress, act, and look, reflects directly upon me!  You had better act right!”  Many of us heard this from our parents while growing up.  I took it to heart.  This led me to believe that I needed to look good, always.  Sometimes, this led me to pretend I was better than I was, or even spotlight the failures or weaknesses of others in order to make myself look better.

Later in life, I have realized that being good is far more important, beneficial, and valuable, than looking good.  Being cool is far better than just looking cool.  Being intelligent is far better than looking intelligent.  One of these things is shallow, the other is a deeply developed, beneficial, valuable characteristic, earned through discipline and effort.  There is something magical that happens within us and to our personal beliefs about the self when we live authentically and honestly.  Don’t misunderstand me.  I agree that first impressions count.  We have all heard the old adage, “Dress to impress,” or, “Dress for the job you want.”  Our outward appearance will signify to others the level of care, acceptance, love, and discipline we think we are worth, but it isn’t the whole story.

I am now starting to believe that being good brings with it certain, unseen, powers.  Being good starts with thinking good.

Our life is the opportunity to create art through self-expression.  What better way to create art than by becoming, progressing, improving, expanding who we are, and evolving, just a little bit, each and every day?

WE, as individuals, can be our best and most beautiful creations.

When we are, “goodinthehead,” we are good in and at our lives.  When we are able to consistently have and practice things like knowledge, strength, self-empowerment, wisdom, inspiration, discipline, and motivation, things tend to fall into place for us.  The stars seem to align, and everything seems to come to us effortlessly and easily.  Everything simply unfolds as it needs to for our greater good, when we let it, by doing our best and allowing it to be enough.  That which we consistently focus on, grows and expands in our lives, exponentially.  The content we allow into our minds each second, each minute, and each hour of every day, and what we choose to focus on and allow to occupy, and repeat in, our minds, is of the utmost importance.

Every thought we think creates a chemical and hormonal reaction in our brains and affects how we feel, interact, and create.  Every bite of food we eat and everything we drink creates a chemical reaction in our bodies and alters our energetic, magnetic, and vibrational state.  Our minds and bodies are tools, a vehicle driven by our souls, to grow, evolve, and manifest a higher level of consciousness, frequency, thought, health, vibrational, and magnetic reality.  Each day is an opportunity for us to create and manifest a better version of who and what we were yesterday.

The opposite is also true.  Based upon our decisions and what we choose to think about, focus on, talk about, eat, and drink, each day may also be an opportunity to destroy ourselves just a little more than we did the day before.  I did this for years.  I have that time to make up for.  Discipline creates momentum leading to more freedom, good health, true wealth, pleasure, and enjoyment, than neglect ever will.

Is what we are thinking, focusing on, saying, doing, and ingesting, going to empower us and help us grow, improve, expand, and evolve, or is it going to slowly and consistently destroy us?  Are these things raising our vibrational energy levels?  Do they bump us up to a higher level of frequency, resulting in raised amounts of attraction and abundance, or are these things lowering our vibrational energy levels, and thereby lowering our quality of living?

Creating and following an easy but effective daily routine has been the most incredibly helpful tool I have implemented into my life which has helped me the most.  This morning routine centers me, empowering me to refocus on what is truly important to me.

We become, more and more, that which we choose to focus on and think about, all day long.  Through consistent, daily meditation and visualization, I believe we can enter into a creative state which will empower and enable us to create and manifest a new and better life each day and be good.  Once we are being good, we are good, and looking good comes easily and naturally.  Looking good is a natural bi-product of being good.

Today I will think of ways I can be good and I will no longer worry about looking good, knowing that if I am focused on being good, looking good will come naturally and easily.  If I have not already, I will work on a personal meditation/visualization practice I can use daily to create my own desired reality.

A few of the best books I have ever read are, THE COMPOUND EFFECT, by Darrel Harday, and SEVEN STRATEGIES FOR WEALTH AND HAPPINESS, by Jim Rohn.  They contain the beliefs, tools, and wisdom, which ANYONE can use, to slowly, surely, constantly, and continuously, grow, expand, and improve.  Type the names of the books into YouTube for a free audio version.  Listening to these books regularly can and will inspire and empower ANYONE to reach for, work towards, and achieve, a greater vision and version of The Self.
