July 11: Past, Present, and Future

Dan Sullivan is a highly sought-after entrepreneurial and life coach.  People pay him big bucks for his teachings.

One of the things he teaches is the idea behind the three time cycles:  Past, present, and future.

Most people look at the future with fear.  Most people see the present as difficult and frustrating, and most people look at the past with regret.  He works hard to empower people to re-frame EVERYTHING , and alter their perspectives about each of these time constructs.

He teaches that it is MOST useful and effective to look at the past only as a school.  It is full of experience, wisdom, learning lessons, knowledge, and skills.  It is meant only to help us in the present and the future.  The past is what helps add value to the present and future, and it is important to be grateful for it, and to choose NOT to be regretful because of it.

He teaches we can look at the present simply as an opportunity to act.  NOW is the time to DO.  It is the time to put into place the daily, consistent beliefs, rituals, routines, habits and practices we have learned about and adopted in order to avoid repeating the mistakes of our past, and living with the repetitive suffering that comes as a consequence of repeating the same painful actions.  It is NOW that we choose to DO that which will create the future we WANT.

He teaches we can look at the future as something we are blessed to have the chance to create, based upon the actions we choose to take today.  We are constantly living in the residual effects of our past decisions we acted upon.  We must know exactly what we want, retain clarity on exactly where we want to go, and be able to visualize exactly how it will look and feel.  When we spend at least five minutes each day thinking about it, feeling it, and imagining it as already ours, something creative and magical begins to happen.

If we consistently and daily imagine it , visualize it, and experience a detailed vision our future in the present, we create it internally, projecting the energy of the new physical reality into space and time.  This practice manifests our desired future through repetition of the experiences, truths, and realities we desire for ourselves and our loved ones.

IT IS THROUGH CONSISTENT, REPETITIOUS THOUGHT AND PRACTICES IN MEDITATION AND VISUALIZATION THAT WE CREATE OUR REALITIES.

The RAS is a programmable tool we ALL have, which will filter out what is unhelpful, and allow ONLY that which we think about and focus upon into our minds, and therefore attract only that into our physical realm.  WHAT WE CHOOSE TO BELIEVE, THINK ABOUT, FOCUS ON, PAY ATTENTION TO, and ENERGIZE THROUGH CONSISTENCY will be what the RAS goes about continuously working hard to create.

The RAS can be considered the chosen filter that all information passes through.  It only allows in that which we think about most and focus upon consistently.

That which we feed with our focus, attention, and energy grows, and that which we starve by not focusing on it, or giving it our attention and energy, dies.

WE ARE CREATORS.

Each thought we think releases a cascade of chemicals and hormones which produce feelings that are chained to those thoughts.  These chemicals result in feelings that control our moods, actions, and reactions to EVERYTHING going on around us, and how we interact with ALL of what is happening to us throughout the day.  WE CONTROL ALL OF THIS THROUGH WHAT WE CHOOSE TO THINK, AND THE THOUGHTS AND BELIEFS WE CHOOSE AS OUR PERSPECTIVES.  We have the ability to upgrade these things ANY TIME WE WANT TO.

THIS is why The Art and Practice of GRATITUDE is so important.  Imagine waking up each day and IMMEDIATELY thinking of EVERYTHING you have to be grateful for, for 5 years.  The consistent, repetition of this daily practice will have only allowed a certain, particular wiring of the brain to happen, and only a certain set of chemicals and hormones to be released from the brain and body,  and quickly pumped throughout our bodies for exactly as long as we were thinking thoughts of gratitude.  What a beautiful way to start each day!!

The exact moment we shift our thoughts from gratitude to stress, an entirely different set of hundreds of chemicals and hormones are then pumped throughout our bodies.  Want to feel better IMMEDIATELY, at ANY time of the day?  Revisit your personal list of things to be grateful for!

Through consistency in awaking each day for 5 years and thinking only of what we are grateful for, our immune systems would have been strengthened for that 5 years.  Our attitudes and perspectives will have shifted ENTIRELY into another reality-one of gratitude, recognized abundance, contentment, satisfaction, and beauty.  With these chemicals, hormones, thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives, repetitiously self-created, manufactured, and intentionally designed to empower us as meditative visioneers, ANY creation is available, and becomes a possibility for us.  THE FUTURE REALITIES WE CREATE ARE IN OUR HANDS, or rather OUR MINDS.

Many great thought leaders and luminaries have taught this concept for hundreds of years:  WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.

We can and will manifest our inner desires into our physical world, as the frequency of our inner world matches with and attracts the physical world into a projected existence.

Time passes no matter what.  What we choose to do with the time we have left is entirely up to us.  Each day we wake up the reset button is pushed.  Each day is an opportunity for us to create.

Today I will think about my past, present, and future.  I will think about what makes me grateful for my past and what I have learned from the experiences in it, decide on the exact future I want to be living in five years, and today I will begin to act upon and do what it takes to have that exact future in five years.  I will remain consistent, knowing that which I CONSISTENTLY think about, speak of, talk about, and do, will happen.

A few of the most incredible teachers I have come across regarding this topic are John Earl Shoaff, Earl Nightingale, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher, Justin Perry from Youarecreators, and Mark Dawes.  Drop their names into YouTube and listen to their content if you really want to learn more about creating the future you want and deserve.  Their content is worth listening to daily.

July 10: APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE

ENERGY FLOWS WHERE ATTENTION GOES.  What do YOU choose to focus on today?

WHAT WE APPRECIATE, APPRECIATES.

Appreciation means growth.  To appreciate something means you give value to it.  Gratitude is appreciation.  Gratitude is growth.

We tend to be grateful for things which appreciate in value.  When we are grateful for things first, they tend to appreciate in value as a natural result.

Knowing that the energy we put out is the energy we get back, and being aware of it, we all try to put out good things: good energy, positivity, love, peace, optimism, acceptance, empathy, and kindness.

ALL THINGS GROW before coming back to us.  WHAT WE FOCUS ON EXPANDS.

CONSISTENTLY expressing gratitude will literally bring even more into our lives to be grateful for.

When we are grateful for someone for who they are, what they have done, or the value they have added into our life in some way, we express appreciation.  Their value grows in THEIR minds, in OUR minds, and ENERGETICALLY their value grows because the gratitude and appreciation results in a higher vibration of thought and BEING.

Gratitude is part of a creative process.  When we express gratitude or appreciation, we give that person or thing a sort of energetically vibrational power.  That power appreciates and grows.  Somehow, it always finds its way back to us.  These are laws that, when we learn them, understand them, and consistently practice them, will WORK FOR US.

We are always creating something.  WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.  WE CREATE WHAT WE CONSISTENTLY FOCUS ON.  This process begins with the two most under-utilized, most under-practiced skills:  MEDITATION and VISUALIZATION.

Isn’t it interesting that when we express gratitude and show appreciation towards others, they feel more valuable, which usually makes them do more, behave in a more productive manner, and choose to present to the world the best version of themselves?  Isn’t it true for us as well?  I know it is true for me.  When someone expresses gratitude to me I would fight lions with my bare hands for them!  I would do just about anything for that person.

Positivity begets positivity.  Negativity begets negativity.  It is entirely up to us which one we think, speak, and bring into existence.  WE ARE CREATORS.

Imagine a world in which we all choose to seek out and focus on the good we find in others, and expressing appreciation and gratitude for SHARING THOSE things, rather than constantly focusing on the negative things in life and consistently judging and criticizing others.

The fact is, at any moment in time, we can find something to be grateful for or something to criticize, but we can’t do both of these things at the same time.

Today and EVERY day I will choose gratitude and appreciation.  I will express gratitude towards everyone, and everything, every chance I get.  At the end of this day I will be mindful of the results of this practice.

To learn more of the TWO MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS we can ever practice and master, MEDITATION and VISUALIZATION, and WHY they are the most important skills we could ever acquire, plug these names into YouTube, research and study them, and try it out for yourself.  I have followed them and their work on Facebook, Instagram, through their books, and their websites, and it has forever altered the trajectory of my life experiences in a MASSIVELY positive way.

July 9: The Effects of Thinking, Mindfulness, and Meditation

More and more studies are showing that meditation has MANY positive effects.  One of these effects is healing.  Physical, mental, and emotional healing all take place because of meditation.  This leads to financial healing, relationships healing, and to an upgrade in our human experience in general.

Dr. Joe Dispenza has put decades of work and research into this subject matter.  Put his name into the YouTube search engine for links to some of his amazing interviews, a look at what his seminars are like, and to learn more about what he does and how it can help you heal in so many ways.  His books he has written and the information he has shared is AMAZING.

We now know that we literally become what we think about.  Repeated thoughts tend to manifest themselves into physical form in our lives.  We don’t just SEE things the way we are-WE PROJECT INTO REALITY WHAT WE ARE.  This is the importance of a DAILY PERSPECTIVE SHIFT, or a daily upgrade in our thinking and feeling.  Meditative healing is becoming more and more common.  Healing thoughts heal.  Abundant thoughts create more abundance.  Loving thoughts empower us to expand into more of who and what we truly are-LOVE, and love ensues as a natural bi-product.

Meditation literally changes us on a cellular level.  Our chemicals and hormones change through thought, alone.  We can literally think ourselves ill, or we can think ourselves WELL.  One of the important things in the millions of cells in our body is the mitochondria, which are the healing factories of the cell.  Isn’t it interesting how something so small and seemingly meaningless can have such a huge impact in our lives?  Just like certain hormones and chemicals are released into our blood stream when we exercise, there are certain hormones and chemicals which are released into our bodies because of thoughts.  Thoughts generate certain chemicals and certain hormones in our bodies, which then cause certain feelings.  This is why meditation can be so important.

When any illness (physical ailments or mental and emotional difficulties) manifests itself in our life in some way, it usually isn’t something that just suddenly came about.  It is often the outward manifestation, and the predictable result, of a prolonged, lowered immune system, sometimes resulting from a bad habit that was repeated for years.  Smoking, stress, repressed rage, unspoken emotions, lack of sleep, poor diet, lack of exercise, negative, pessimistic thinking, a lack of clear boundaries, an unsafe environment, and simply not keeping promises to ourselves, can all contribute to a prolonged, lowered immune system.  Isn’t it interesting how something so small and seemingly meaningless can eventually have such a huge impact in our lives?

The small things don’t have an effect overnight.  They compound over time to have HUGE impact.

GOOD OR BAD, EMPOWERING OR DIS-EMPOWERING, HEALING OR DESTRUCTIVE, WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CREATION OF OUR INNER WORLDS THAT WILL EVENTUALLY MANIFEST IN THE PROGRAMMED CONSTRUCT OF THIS PHYSICAL, RULE-FOLLOWING REALM.

“Compounding interest is the 8th wonder of the world.” -Albert Einstein

You don’t think he was JUST talking about money, do you?

Good habits like proper and consistent sleep (Type Impact Theory Shawn Stevenson into the YouTube search engine for the best sleep advice ever given,) proper and healthy diet, simple and consistent exercise (Type Impact Theory Rangan Chatterjee into the YouTube search engine for amazing advice on these topics by Dr Rangan Chatterjee), and practicing gratitude, positive thinking, and meditation, will raise our vibrational frequencies and immune systems, and continuously release valuable, beneficial chemicals and hormones into our bodies on a regular and consistent basis.   Over time, and with consistency, this will absolutely affect ANYONE, in so many positive ways.

This effects every part of our body.  Studies show that the telomeres (the pieces at the ends of the DNA stands which hold it all together, preventing death) actually REPAIR themselves during consistent meditation practices, and add up to 40% more QUALITY lifespan!  On a cellular level, the mitochondria (the healing factory of the cell) works more efficiently, healing the cell.  Millions of cells, healing more efficiently at the same time, boosts our immune system, makes us healthier, reinforces the good habits and provides balance in our lives created by our good habits, and adds momentum and strength to our decisions towards the same end.   As a result, we have better health, and because we FEEL healthier and stronger, we have the energy and desire to keep doing the same things.  It is a pattern that, when repeated, becomes a self-perpetuating cycle which benefits us physically, emotionally, and mentally.

The opposite is also true.  Neglecting these important things will have an incredibly adverse and negative effect upon us.  THE SMALL THINGS WE DO NOT DO WILL COMPOUND AND DESTROY US.

Healthy living is a self-perpetuating, cyclical process, which fuels itself and creates momentum and energy. With time, these things become easier and easier to do until it becomes a super-beneficial, successful, happy, meaningful, lifestyle.  We become more valuable as human beings and are more capable of contributing to others.

Isn’t it interesting how something so small and  seemingly meaningless can have such a huge impact in our lives?  Everything we think, say, and do has a direct effect on us in some way.

Everything we DON’T think, say, and do can also have a direct effect on us.

Our habits and daily routines are the key to our own personal success or our own personal demise.  It is entirely up to us what we do and what we don’t do.  It is the small and seemingly meaningless things that will compound in time to have a very large effect on us in every way, someday.

RESULTS DON’T LIE.

There are MANY books, filled with stories, about how it really is all the small things that matter.  These are just a few:

ATOMIC POWER by James Clear.
THE COMPOUND EFFECT by Darren Hardy.
THE MIRACLE MORNING by Hal Elrod.
THE POWER OF HABIT, by Charles Duhigg

PSYCHOCYBERNECTICS, by Maxwell Maltz

Reminder to self:  The next time you think a thought, remember and be aware of the effects that particular thought is going to have on your body on a cellular level.  Are you thinking thoughts that will result in helpful or harmful chemicals being pumped into your bloodstream?  Are you thinking thoughts which will propel you towards, and ENFORCE, good habits and routines which will later result in activities like exercising, eating right, and sleeping well?  Is your thinking and what you focus on a part of a creative, healing process, or is your thinking and what you focus on part of a cycle leading you into a downward spiral?

Every thought we think matters.  Every word out of our mouth has an effect.  Every thought, word, and feeling we emit ARE CREATIONS.  Every action we take has a result or a consequence.  Good or bad, it is entirely up to us.  We are literally the creators of our own realities.  With our thoughts, we create our own personal realities.  We are truly in charge of our lives.

When we choose personal accountability, and decide to take responsibility for EVERYTHING in our lives, we become more POWERFUL creators.

Today I will pay attention to my thoughts.  I will remember that what I think about, when I don’t have to think at all, is who I am.

If you are curious about meditation, the positive possibilities it provides as a consistent practice, or want to easily and quickly learn how to do it, check out Emily Fletcher’s book, STRESS LESS, ACCOMPLISH MORE.  Type her name into YouTube to hear all about it!  I can promise you will NEVER regret researching this topic.  Meditation is the something I wish I would have discovered and practiced consistently much earlier in life.

I invite you to check out my own, personal, meditative and vizualization practices, along with the Habit-Hacking Challenge I created for anyone interested in easily, and consistently, optimizing lifestyle:

July 8: The importance of Goal Setting

If we can’t see it, we can never BE it.  Setting goals requires and includes a vision of ourselves and our circumstances that we want to EXPAND INTO.  When we begin to see what we truly desire, we know exactly what to do to get there, and if we don’t, we are certainly more likely to figure it out.

Jim Rohn is an excellent mentor.  We could all use an excellent mentor or two in our lives.  He speaks to us now from the grave.  He passed away in 2009, but his thoughts, words, and actions will live on forever.  The creative energy and strategies for a happy, successful, fulfilling life that he teaches, will live on forever.  One of his focal points is goal setting.  Something he was taught by his mentor, John Earl Shoaff, was this:

“The importance of setting goals is what it will make of you in the achievement of them.” -John Earl Shoaff

Mr. Shoaff suggested to Jim Rohn in his early years to set the goal of becoming a millionaire.  Mr. Shoaff asked to see his list of goals during one of their first meetings.  Jim told him he didn’t have a list.  Mr. Shoaff asked him if it was out in his car, or if he had left it at home.  Jim Rohn told him that he didn’t have a list of goals, anywhere, to which Mr. Shoaff told him, “Well, young man, then that is where we must start.”

Jim Rohn then consistently did the work, through the accomplishment of daily, weekly, and monthly goals, that it would take to become a millionaire, which then happened within the next six years of his life.  Think of it!  Between the ages of 19 and 25 he messed up.  He was in debt, not a penny in his pocket, victimized and playing the role of a victim, making excuses and playing the blame game.  He was in the habit of blaming everything on any excuse he could for not being successful in the richest land, with the most opportunities in the entire world.  Then, because of a shift in his mindset, philosophies, and beliefs, between the ages of 26 and 31 he became a millionaire!  He didn’t know how he would do it, but he was taught that if he worked on Self Development, and added value to the market place by becoming more valuable, that he would be compensated for the value he added.  He did it, and if he can do it, anyone can!

Through becoming what it takes to accomplish outrageous and challenging goals, working hard, and adding value to others, it makes us more valuable.

It is helpful to gain clarity on exactly what we want.  We can make goals to get what we want as quickly, honestly, and efficiently as we can.  The secret of making this an easy task and a reality is to break those goals down into daily, consistent behaviors and a daily check list/routine of things we can do, that will help us to eventually accomplish those goals.  We can choose each day to focus with intensity on those things, and do the work, then look back at how far we have come in a month, a year, and ten years from now.

It is important to always have another goal in mind.  It is helpful to always be reaching, stretching, and challenging our self.  We can choose to ALWAYS be upgrading.  This creates a consistent, expansive, empowering kind of momentum that drives us forward, even when we are exhausted.  Stagnation is dangerous to our Self Development.  Progression, improvement, and decided evolution are the only ways we will realize and achieve our visions, dreams, and goals.

Always live THIS day intentionally, and with purpose.  Enjoy EVERY moment along the way.

We will be amazed at the value we begin to add to our lives and to the lives of those around us, through Self Development and the accomplishment of our goals.  Other people will also be amazed at the changes in us, as well.  Confidence and pride will grow exponentially as we do, and our will, desire, and energy will be strengthened.  Life becomes such a beautiful experience, when progress is realized and worked upon CONSISTENTLY.

The importance of setting goals is what it will make of us in the achievement of them.

“There is no end to growth.  Our potential is LIMITLESS.  There is no finish line.  It is about PROGRESS, not perfection.”   Bob Proctor

“If you set a goal, AND ALREADY KNOW HOW TO ACCOMPLISH IT, the goal probably isn’t any good.”  – Bob Proctor

HAVE A VISION.  REALLY REACH.  THINK BIG, DREAM BIG.

Today I will set personal goals.  If I have already, I will review them and re-commit to the achievement of them.  I will re-focus on them, looking forward to what it will allow me to be.  I will envision the value I can add in my life, and in the lives of others, as I consistently complete the work in the achievement of them.

One of my favorite books is by Jim Rohn, and is entitled, 7 STRATEGIES FOR WEALTH AND HAPPINESS.

To listen to some of Jim Rohn’s greatest, most helpful tips and tricks on goal setting, just type his name into YouTube, and enjoy!
