April 21: Focus On The Solution

According to one of the most brilliant minds in the world, Dr. Peter Diamantis, we should focus on the solutions instead of the problems.  He says that if we all focus on solutions and finding and creating ways to solve problems, the problems will soon disappear, giving us much more time to create a more beautiful, safe, and prosperous world, and enjoy a much more beautiful and fulfilling life.

I agree with him.  It all comes down to what we focus on.  If we turn all of our attention to one thing, in just a short period of time, all of the other things we were focusing on will fall out of our lives or disappear completely.  If we focus on what we DO want, instead of what we DON’T want, the things we DO want will begin to be more prevalent in our lives while the things we don’t want will disappear out of our lives.

This is ALL due to a little piece of machinery installed within the human brain called the Reticular Activating System.  It only allows the mind to see, perceive of, and project more of that which we are focusing on.  We can use this tool to program ourselves for optimization in EVERY area of our lives.

Dr.Joe Dispenza shared video in his Ted talk of neurons reaching out to each other to connect during a thought.  A thought thunk once will create a connection of neurons for a few hours or days.  If the thought isn’t repeated, the neurons uncouple and detach, recruited by other neurons which are being used much more consistently in other thoughts.  This is exactly why what we focus on consistently is so important.  The things we no longer give attention to causes the neurons which were once connected to uncouple, as they are recruited to form the pathways for the thoughts we DO choose to give attention to.

WE create, manifest, attract, and project our realities through focus, consistency, repetition, practice, and habits.  We are only victims of circumstance for as long as we choose to be.  Victimhood is an illusion.  The reality is, WE ARE CREATORS, always creating more of what we focus on and give our attention to the most.

Today’s challenge for myself:  Today I will remember to focus on solutions instead of problems.  I will make it a habit to put out a creative energy, instead of a destructive energy, through the practice of focusing on, and thinking about, ONLY what I DO want.

Remember:  Mindset matters.  Character counts.  That which we choose to consistently focus on is what EXPANDS in our lives.  WE CREATE our personal realities.
