July 16: Think, Say, Do

Thinkers are fun.  When thinkers think, things can get interesting.  Deep thinkers have always existed throughout time.  They are the ones who have come up with all of the quotes/beliefs/thoughts/programs which have lasted throughout the centuries, and we still use them to guide us and adopt them into our belief systems and our lives, in order to upgrade, and become a better version of our “small s” selves, or the WHO we identify as while in these bodies.

Talkers are also fun.  We all love to listen to a good story.  People who have a wide range of words in their vocabulary are articulate, and really take the time to craft a good story, putting things in a way which anyone and everyone can relate to, are particularly interesting and entertaining.  We all love to be around a good story teller.

Doers get things done.  They think about something, and they do it.  They think about something, talk about it and realize the thing they are thinking and talking about isn’t going to get done unless they make it happen.  ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, and RESULTS DON’T LIE.

There are some who are particularly good at one of these three things.  Some people choose to be good at two of these three things.  It is the people who practice doing all three of these things really well, who are happy, creative, fulfilled, wealthy in all areas of their lives, and successful.  Why is that?  Why is it they are able to be so efficient in all three areas and have such deep, meaningful connections with others all along the way?

I believe it is through practicing living a life of honesty, authenticity, congruence, and in alignment with what one’s purpose and TRUE identity is, that a life of greatness is achieved.  It is difficult to do this consistently, especially at first, but when living in this manner is repeated and practiced, it becomes habituated, and is eventually how certain people identify.  They are able to look in the mirror, each day, and say, “I say what I mean, and I mean what I say, and I DON’T SAY IT MEAN.  I am honest.  I am authentic.  I live in congruence with what I think and believe, and I prove it with my words and actions.  I consistently do what I say I am going to do, and this makes me predictable, reliable, and dependable.  I live in alignment with my purpose.”

Activities which are practiced daily eventually become habits.  Repetition begets MASTERY.   Doing ANYTHING of a high difficulty level, often enough, eventually becomes easy.  When we consistently do our best, our best consistently gets better.  The difficult things we get better at through repetition, is entirely up to us.

Today I will practice being a thinker, talker, AND a doer.  I will practice and use these skills to create deeper, more meaningful relationships and to become a better, more effective version of myself.  I know that by doing so I will add value to my life and to the lives of those around me.

goodinthehead is also on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.  The goodinthehead Podcast can be found on YouTube.  Follow me there, as well, for daily messages, inspiration, motivation, and reminders.  Please pay it forward, and share this, and ANY message, which may empower someone you love or may care about.  It is through adding value to others by sharing and spreading wisdom, that we become more valuable as individuals, and collectively, as a whole, we all become wiser.

Remember:  Mindset matters.  Character counts.  That which we choose to consistently focus on is what EXPANDS in our lives.  WE CREATE our personal realities.
