May 26: Boundaries

The better we know, the better we are and the better we do.  Improvements in us lead to adding more and more value to our lives and to the lives of the people around us.  Self-Awareness and boundaries play a key role in being and doing better.

What makes you angry?  What makes you frustrated?  What in your life do you want to change?  What rules have you made for yourself to guide you in your own, personal life?  Are there changes that need to take place in your own personal rule book?  Are you still living by the rules you followed as a child or when you were younger, that may not still apply?  Are you living in accordance to old rules imposed upon you as a child that realistically do not benefit you or apply to you anymore?

Look around at some of the other people in the world who are truly happy, enlightened, successful, and fulfilled, and find out what rules they are living by.  Success leaves clues.  Results don’t lie, and the quality of the results we experience directly correlate to the quality of our thinking, speaking, and doing.

Wouldn’t you rather live a progressively better, happier, more fulfilling life, each and every day?

Progression leads to even more happiness and fulfillment.  Without it all hope is lost.  There is nothing to work towards.  No target to aim for.  No goals to achieve.

Note to self:  Figure out the boundaries you want to have from here on out and what rules you want to live your life by.  Start right now to progress, hope, work, change, become better, and do better.

Choose for yourself how YOU want to be truly happy, enlightened, successful, and fulfilled.  You will become more valuable, by adding more value to your life, and to the lives of those around you.

Today I will review my boundaries, rules, and beliefs, practices, and perceptions of all things, and alter, improve, or replace anything that may no longer be helpful to me or conducive to me being my best self.

*One of the most helpful books I have come across regarding setting healthy, helpful boundaries, is Mealody Beattie’s, “THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO.”  I highly recommend buying the hard copy to this book.  It contains a daily reading which can be completed in only a few minutes.  It’s also free and easy to access through Google by typing in the name of the book and today’s date.
