Month 9

The Commitment to Upgrading Beliefs.

Right at the start, let us set this month’s alarm:

What I focus on, I FEED.  Today I will pay attention to EVERYTHING I say, and remember that my words are proof of ALL of my beliefs, and every thought and word is a CREATION.  WHAT I BELIEVE CONSTANTLY BECOMES MY NEW REALITY.

The Reticular Activating System is a small device installed in each of our brains that sits behind the amygdala.  It is just larger than an eraser, and is one of the most important tools we have with which to create ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.  It is a program that is CONSTATNLY running in the background within our subconscious mind, and while everything and everyone around us for the first 6 to 7 years of our lives was programming us, WE are now the programmers. 

There is a video on YouTube created by Mark Dawes I am now going to ask you to find and listen to.  To quickly and easily find it, go to the YouTube search engine and type: Mark Dawes Your Reticular Activating System.

Save it somewhere that it is easy to access again and again, as we will be listening to this short video at the start of each day for the entirety of this month. 

It has been said that You can’t STOP momentum, BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE THE DIRECTION OF THE MOMENTUM.  If you win the MORNING, you WIN THE ENTIRE DAY.  IT IS ALL ABOUT MOMENTUM.

What we repeat, we eventually MASTER, no matter WHAT it is we are choosing to focus on.  Certain topics we focus on result in depression, and momentum gained in that direction from our repetitious thinking of subjects related to darkness and depression can only lead our Reticular Activating System to seek out ONLY things, people, quotes, ideas, beliefs, perspectives, situations and circumstances that have to do with depression.  If you desire to be depressed the ENTIRE REST OF YOUR LIFE, then start each morning with the repetition of beliefs, thoughts, and topics related to depression.

THE OPPOSITE IS ALSO TRUE!  When we begin each day directing and intentionally guiding our momentum towards ONLY things, people, quotes, ideas, beliefs, perspectives, situations and circumstances that have to do with healing, happiness, wholeness, completeness, gratitude, and enjoyment, AND THINK ONLY THESE THOUGHTS, we will, over time, guide the direction of our personal momentum DOWN THIS PATH, and it is because of the RAS. 

IT IS THROUGH REPETITION THAT WE REPROGRAM THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, and the more we repeat ANYTHING, the more information our RAS seeks out to back up and prove THAT as OUR TRUTH.

There is a page on the goodinthehead website called, THE GOODINTHEHEAD BELIEFS PROJECT.  Each day, we will be defining a belief we grew up with and upgrading it.  I am going to ask you to go to this page now, read through the information contained therein, and refer back to this page as often as necessary.  It has examples of MANY of the beliefs I have been working on.  Borrow from this list or make a list of your own.  This page will absolutely empower ANY practitioner of this process to begin practicing upgrading the PERSONAL BELIEF SYSTEM in ways that will serve and save the practitioner.  After only one month of doing these things, I am confident that you will realize the value in this project, and most likely WANT to continue this project of upgrading personal beliefs, periodically, throughout the rest of your life. 

As we LEARN better, we can DO better.  It is by DOING better that we enjoy better results.  We can upgrade beliefs through learning new beliefs, experimenting and playing with them to try them on for size, and see for OURSELVES what kinds of results operating from these different beliefs brings to us.  It is SO MUCH FUN to create different experiences and continuously upgrade them ANY time we want to.

When we habituate the practice of upgrading beliefs, we shift our perspectives in ways that SERVE us and sets us up for success.  Sometimes, the smallest shift will result in a cascade of change.  We start a domino effect that results in a completely alternate trajectory, with an entirely alternate set of realities and results that coincide with these shifts.

Our best life is OURS to create.  Our life is no one else’s fault or responsibility.  Our beliefs MAKE this true.  Once we expand out of the victim mode and take FULL responsibility for what we FOCUS ON, REPEAT, and CHOOSE TO BELIEVE, magical things begin to happen for us. 
The truth is, there was magic there all along, but reprogramming our subconscious through repetition and through the use of the small but POWERFUL Reticular Activating System, we can finally see our NEW TRUTHS.

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WORK OF THIS MONTH!  I am confident that you have realized the value of FOCUS, REPETITION, and WINNING THE MORNING.  It is time to celebrate all of our little wins by recognizing them and appreciating them, allowing them to compound into something MASSIVELY impactful and empowering for us:

WE are the composers of our inner harmony.  WE are the creators of our personal reality, while in this body and in this life.  Knowing what you now know, where do you see yourself in five years? 

LIMITLESS EXPANSION is available to ALL of us!  Given a long enough timeline, we would literally have the opportunity to do just THAT-to expand in ALL areas of life, FOREVER.

I want to share with you something I wrote on September 10, 2021.  I wrote this after seven years of working on my beliefs, after the previous day sent me spiraling into anger and bitterness.  I woke up the next morning, realizing that I had allowed outside circumstances to affect my inner world-circumstances beyond my control, and I believed that if I could send a message of LOVE to the world, it would extinguish the flames burning me down from the inside and alleviate the anger and bitterness.  It did.

CONSCIOUSNESS

If it is true that consciousness informs itself through its creations, and if it is true that our actual identity IS consciousness, and that we create with every thought, word, and action, then isn’t it a BRILLIANT plan for consciousness to have inserted itself into TRILLIONS of “separate” physical entities and lives within a virtual, physical construct in order to experience life through TRILLIONS of different perspectives, SIMULTANEOUSLY? 

How important is it, then, to be completely authentic, different, and unique?  From this perspective, being a follower of any ONE belief, group, way of thinking, or choosing to conform in ANY way would be INCREDIBLY counter-productive.  As consciousness, temporarily inhabiting a human body to have a human experience, I think it is useful to remember to BE A UNIQUE and ORIGINAL INDIVIDUAL, and to be unapologetic, unashamed, and proud of our differences.

BE HAPPY BEING YOU.  Be the best you that you can be.  Always be upgrading.  Always be learning and practicing what you learn.  Choose to experiment with as many different ways of being that interest you or that you are attracted to.  EXPERIENCE as MANY situations, circumstances, people, things, and lives as you possibly can, within this one lifetime. 

Maybe the secret to quickening the limitless expansion of the collective whole isn’t conformity to only ONE way of being and thinking, and convincing others to strive to be just like us, but rather in EMBRACING OUR DIFFERENCES, and in allowing, accepting, appreciating, and loving UNCONDITIONALLY, ALL THAT IS, AS IT IS.

Much love and peace to you on YOUR own personal, unique, authentic life journey.  Keep going.  Keep doing what you are doing.  You are AMAZING.  You are PERFECT, JUST AS YOU ARE, and while you don’t need to change a thing to be worthy of love, while in this human body you can choose to get EVEN BETTER.  Accept yourself.  Appreciate yourself.  Love yourself.  Remember WHAT you are, as you continue to work on upgrading the WHO you IDENTIFY AS, while in this human form.

I LOVE YOU.  That may sound strange, and we may not know one another in human form, but if someone can HATE another for no reason at all, I am certainly entitle to LOVE another for no reason at all, other than the fact that it is possible that I AM you, and YOU are ME, in our truest form, as CONSCIOUSNESS, simply temporarily infused into separate physical bodies for a short while, soon to be reunited in love and light.

PEACE and COMFORT be with you, throughout the entirety of your life journey.
